Nokia Lumia 1020: Can LCD and outer screen be separated on Nokia Lumia 1020?

I have a nokia lumia 1020 which has a cracked outer screen, the LCD below is working perfectly and the touch function is also working, can they be separated in order to replace only the outer screen?

I've repaired a samsung galaxy s3 in this manner, but due to the fact there's not alot of help online regards the 1020 i'm unsure if it's based on the same principle.

Any help greatly received.......

Hi, I am doing this on behalf of my brother.

He has a yellow lumia 1020 and loves it. Recently, his phone has started to malfunction, and the flashlight led stays on, no matter what we have tried! We have completely discharged the battery, and as soon as we plug it back in, the flashlight turns back on again! we have tried the software, but it freezes as soon as we try and access anything to do with the camera and flashlight!

He is known for dropping his device a lot and it has not been exposed to water*

Any Ideas?

Nokia Lumia 1020: Memory Upgrade from 32GB to 64GB

I have a Nokia Lumia 1020 GB 32GB which is the usual standard in many countries except that

64GB is sold in certain EU countries. Is there a way if I can upgrade the memory

from 32GB to 64GB rather than buying a new phone. Any input would be

Nokia Lumia 1020: sim card contacts damaged

I inserted a 'nano sim to micro sim' adapter into my 1020. While removing i took notice of something is going wrong and now my phone tells me 'no sim card'.

Can i repair this without disassembling the phone? If not: Is repair possible without soldering?

Nokia Lumia 1020: It does not charge

This phone was pretty dead and my first sight was a battery problem. I replaced the battery.

With the new battery installed, the phone could turn on but it does not charge the battery. I was using a usb charger cable.

It looked like the usb flex port was damaged. The flex port was replaced but once again, the phone still does not charge the battery.

Someone has a clue of what is going on?

Maybe some internal components related to control the supply of voltage inside of logical board are damaged. Could you give me an advice of how check this condition?

I had my Nokia 1020 run over by a car and it works fine I just need to get the screen replaced... since it is scratched and a little cracked. I only have 60 and need an LCD Screen Replacement. Can anyone help? I can't transfer data to the computer anymore though and if I was to send it to nokia they will destroy the data and send me a new phone...... I have so many things I can't loose off the device like pictures and accounts....

Since plugging headphones in, my phone doesn't hear the dialling tone or recipient unless it's set on loudspeaker. I have replaced the head Jack which has the speaker in twice but no joy.

I have a Nokia Lumia 1020 here but I broke the power/volume key FPC Connector on the logic board. I can see a gold piece missing and now the device power button doesn't work. I was wondering if anywhere in CANADA would fix these type of connectors ??

So I turned on voice command and when I turn it on, it won’t let me slide up the home screen because it keeps talking. How do I fix it if I can’t even get to the settings to turn it off.

Nokia Lumia 1020: Camera and camera apps wont load.

The camera wont load or any of the camera apps. I click the camera button and it flicks across to the camera screen but the camera icon is greyed out and then it quickly closes and returns to main menu. Same thing happens if I try and load from Camera app, Lumia Camera app or Nokia app, even my flashlight app does the same flash screen then it crashes. All other apps and editing of pic apps work fine. Have tried Hard Reset, have updated to Denim and have updated every app and reset the phone again and again etc.

Anyone seen this before?

the rear camera did not work before and I replace it but within less than three months the new one is not working. the problem is that the focus is not working so the picture is blurred and if I try to take a picture of a note or a page of a book, the only thing I can see is the lines without being able to recognise even a letter.

Is there something that I can do?

I have a problem in my lumia 1020. My little sister threw it in the floor and it died . It never work . I tried to turn on the phone but , I don't get a response. When I charge it light shows from the start button

And disappear after few seconds.

Nokia Lumia 1020: What component should be on this phone motherboard?

This phone is missing a SMD component on the motherboard. It won’t charge. I replaced the battery, but it still won’t take a charge.

This image is of the missing component. I think it’s an inductor. Could someone enlighten me? Where can you buy one of these without having to buy 1000s?
