Hi, I bought just a display, not a diplay unit. I dismantled the Nokia G22 without problems untill I reached the display unit. Now my question, is it possible to remove the display from the display unit without destroying it. Best regards!

My Nokia G22 screen recently broke, and due to the fact there is a monopoly on phone repairs in my area, and my Nokia G22 was marketed as self repairable, I decide to repair it myself. When I bought the part I just got the screen and not screen assembly, I don't want the part to go to waste so I want to replace it myself, but I cant find anything online about how to.

The Nokia G22 (64 GB memory size) take too long to be fully charged.I use provided wall charger and cable in product package

The problem started when Android operating system was upgraded from Android 12 to a Android 13 operating system. I believe there was a standard time up to 120-130 minutes for a charging period from 20% battery remaining percentage within Android 12 OS. Currently with Android 13 OS if the phone in ON position it would take up to 8 to 9 hours !!! to finish it. But if I put the phone in OFF position ( Power off the phone) the battery still become fully charged within 120-130 minutes from 20% remaining battery percentage. I have missed many incoming calls.

My phone had undergone some unlocking with pandora tool, everything went nice except for the sim card network. It doesn't pick my som cards.

My Nokia G22 keeps rebooting at random moments. Sometimes it reboots while I'm using the phone, sometimes when I'm not using it. As far as I can tell, all my apps are up to date and I have enough memory and storage available (usually >1GB RAM and >50GB storage). As far as I can tell it doesn't happen when I'm using any specific apps. A reboot also occured when the phone was in safe mode.

Sometimes it reboots five times in an hour, at other times it can go days without going through a weird reboot.

When it reboots, the screen freezes for a second and then goes black for about a minute. Then it quickly boots back up, without showing the android logo or playing the Nokia jingle like it would after a normal boot or reboot.

The unlock screen reads "Need pin after rebooting", so the phone does recognize it as a reboot.

I also sometimes feel it buzzing a few times in rapid succession before it reboots, similar to the buzz it makes when unlocking with the fingerprint sensor.

Another issues I have experienced is that sometimes phone keeps hanging at the login screen. I enter mij PIN and press enter, but the phone does nothing. I can see the button being pressed (multiple times) but it doesn't unlock.

Any ideas what it could be? Hardware or software?

EDIT: a full factory reset fixed all problems!

Hello,

I forgot to charge my phone last night so I went to work and the my phone died at 3% battery. Not a big deal and nothing was suspicious - the phone was working fine. So I plugged in the charger that I have used before (at least 20 times) but I didn't power it up. So some time passed and I went to check my phone and the phone didn't respond at all. I tried other chargers and sockets and stuff - nothing. Interesting thing is that when I plugged it to the laptop's USB I can hear the Window's sound of connected USB device but nothing happened - because the phone is turned off. I tried to hold the power button and also power+volume up/down kombo.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Nokia G22: Weak WiFi Signal on Nokia G22

The WiFi signal on the Nokia G22 is very weak compared to other devices using the same hotspot. Have tested multiple WiFi networks and devices with the same result.

WiFi analyser app shows the Nokia with -65dBm signal, while a Motorola shows -54dBm.

Nokia support are useless and just keep telling me to reset and clear caches (done multiple times). Seems it is a design fault. Next step is sent it back for repair as they won't refund.

Any one else has this issue?

recently some of the G22 were affected by an corrupted ota update. The device ends up in a bootloop. to get it repaired you need to provide the EMEI number from the device. unfortunately the box is lost. but I hope the Imei is also printed inside the device somewhere.

Good morning everyone, my G22, widely advertised as a fully repairable phone, has a serious problem which makes it impossible to use. After about 2 weeks from purchase it began stopping charging every time the screen was locked, both from me and from the automatic timeout. The problem appears with other cables and AC adapters, in provvisory mode, but not when the phone is off. After many tries and a hard reset I had no alternative than sending it to the repair center, where they couldn't fix it because it was a software problem. The seller (official HMD store) refuses to take it back and give me a refund, as they should do if they're not able to fix their phone. Anyone who had this same problem and solved it?

Personally I strongly recommend not to buy these phones anymore and iFixit should think twice before sponsorizing this garbage.

Nokia G22: Camera is flipped and black and white

Hello,

So I opened the phone to change the display and after assembling it back everything is working fine except the camera. When I open the camera app first it opens the front camera (instead of the main camera) and the picture flipped upside down. After switching to the back (main) camera the pictures is still flipped up and also it is only black and white.

I installed Open Camera and through that app the camera's pictures are not flipped up but still the picture of the main camera is only black and white.

Any ideas how to fix this?
