Me and my roomates are big fans of playing Golf on Wii Sports Resort. We have the original Wii (NA Canada version, RVL-001 I believe) and original remotes with some Motion Plus adapters I bought online (not official I'm pretty sure). We've had some problems with syncing the adapters but always managed to make it work. However, we've had a lagging problem that has now turned in a freezing problem and happens everytime we play Golf. The game starts to lag and then freezes 100%, the remote is unresponsive (not even home button) and the game is hard stuck (altough the soothing wind sound is still playing, and music also when there is some). This happens around 3 holes in the game or before. Other games don't suffer from this problem and even other sports on Wii Sports Resort seem fine. I have even bought a brand new copy of the game thinking it would fix it but I have the same problem.

What I have done:

- Powercycle the wii.

- Clean the air traps of dust.

- Delete the game data.

- Desync (15s on the red button beside the sd card slot) the remote and resync.

- Bought a brand new disc.

- Recalibrate the sensor to max light setting.

- Update the wii system to last version (4.3U).

-Deactivated WiiConnect24.

I read that the disk is double layered and that might be the cause, and I need to clean the lens so I bought the lens cleaning kit and cleaned my lens 2 times today, without success. Could it be that I need a wii RVL-101 version for tbis game? However, I'm a bit skeptical that other games on the same disk are working. Also today I played some 3 holes and it worked fine, for some reason. Any of you ever had this problem and if so, how did you fix it? Thanks in advance for your help!

I can navigate in the menu but when i click on any thing, i'm getting blocked in the charging screen and i sometimes still get the sound of the charging screen and sometimes no

Some informations that may help you to help me : i dont get any USB thing plugged in it, im not connected to internet or any networ, i didn't modded it so i got official games and official OS and i also dont get any error code just a static screen

if anyone can help me i would be very grateful bc i got my console since my childhood and replacing it would be terrible for me

On my gamecubes pcb disc drive where 2 trace pads came off where the cap goes and there's no spec's anywhere to where all the wires go so idk how fix these problems i have an idea im gonna need jump it with wires

I managed to damage it i think so how and too see if there is a fix or just throw it out

Since I've bought a new Samsung SSD with 1TB of free space, I tested if that could be the problem; so I moved F-Zero X to my Nand, unplugged the SSD and tried playing it that way. Still the same issues.

I also cleaned the Fan, unplugged every other Accessories and even replaced the Clock Power Cell, in hopes that the problem might lie there somehow. Though, it was of no help...

Now that I've tried everything else, I don't know what could be the culprit... Could it maybe be some Aroma Plugin? Or is it some Hardware failure that needs fixing? I don't know...

I have already tried to remove the CMOS battery with no luck - was suggested by a youtube video!
