Nintendo Switch Lite: Why my Nintendo switch lite doesn’t want to turn on?

Bought the Nintendo switch lite through facebook marketplace. When I plugged in the switch for good amount of time (I’d say for about 12 hours) hoping it’ll turn on but I got nothing. I tried turning on the power, looked through the charging port, pressed the power button and the volume button at the same time and I still get no sort of power from the switch. Is there anything I could do to fix my problem.

Nintendo Switch Lite: card reader not working after R joystick replacement

Hello all,

I swapped out a bad right joystick on a switch lite, and now the card reader doesn't work. The card reader itself looks fine to me. Is there anything else it could have been along the way? Does the digitizer cable work with the card reader at all? That seems to be the only thing that was scratched during the repair.

Nintendo Switch Lite: Difficulty Removing USB-C Port on Nintendo Switch Lite (Hot Air Issues

I’m having a very hard time removing the USB-C port from a Nintendo Switch Lite mainboard.

I purchased a replacement port and later realized that a hot-air rework station is essentially required. I don’t own a full rework station, but I am using a small hot-air gun with interchangeable nozzles so I can focus heat on the port area rather than the entire board. This is the specific unit I’m using:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DJ8R2R9V

So far, I’ve:

Wicked away as much solder as possible from the port pins

Applied hot air evenly across the port area

Set the hot-air gun to ~420 °C

Despite this, the port will not release. Unfortunately, I’ve already melted the nearby battery connector during the process, so that component will also need to be replaced.

It’s been several years since I last used a soldering iron, and this is my first attempt at SMT soldering, so I’m sure there are technique gaps here. During my research, I also came across iFixit’s SMD & Microsoldering Practice Kit (SMD and Microsoldering Practice Kit), which I’m planning to pick up to build proper hands-on practice before attempting another board-level repair.

At this point, I’m leaning toward replacing the entire mainboard and keeping this one strictly for practice.

Before I give up on this board entirely:

Are there specific techniques, temperatures, or prep steps I’m missing for removing this port?

Is a consumer hot-air gun like the one linked above fundamentally the wrong tool for this job, even with small nozzles?

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Nintendo Switch Lite: Right bumper is stuck in a pressed position.

The right bumper button, not the trigger - the one above it, is stuck in the pressed position.

It doesn’t seem to cause any reaction in the game, so I’m not sure if the contacts are being touched.

Bumper doesn’t rebound when pressed, so maybe that mechanism has slipped away or ???

What’s the right way to fix that? Replace the button? Throw this thing I didn’t want my kids to have against the front window of the grandparents that bought it for them?

Nintendo Switch Lite: Volume up button doesn't work.

I got a new cat recently who required some training, and unfortunately, I think she urinated on my switch. The only issue I've noticed since cleaning it is that the volume up button no longer works. The volume down button works, the power button works, everything else seems fine, I just can't turn the volume up, and there's no setting in the Switch itself to adjust volume either. I have not yet tried anything to fix it because I'm quite inexperienced working on electronics myself, but if there is a way to fix it myself, I'll certainly try. The button does not appear to be stuck; it presses down and up normally, but it just doesn't do anything.

Nintendo Switch Lite: Fixing the screen ZIF connection on Nintendo switch lite

My switch lite was the victim of a tea spillage which seems to have eroded part of the smaller screen connection ribbon cable. I've replaced the LCD but it's still not working. On closer inspection it looks like the ZIF connector is also broken (I don't know if it happened during the LCD replacement.

Is there a way to replace just the top part without the precise soldering job needed to replace the entire connection?

Also some help finding a replacement connector would be gratefully received as I'm struggling to find the right thing online.
