Nintendo Switch 2: Bent Pin in Switch 2 Joy-Con 2 ZIF Connector

I followed the official iFixit guide to replace my Switch 2's Right Joy-Con 2 ribbon cable. When placing in the new cable, I somehow bent one or two of the pins inside the connector. It's really difficult to capture on camera due to the size but I've tried show what it looks like as well as included its location on an oem board.

I'm thinking of getting a shop to desolder and replace it but where could I source a replacement? I'm not sure if the Switch 1 shares this connector since donor boards for those are way cheaper. Is this even desolderable? Would Nintendo themselves repair something like this? I would really appreciate any help on what to do next.

Nintendo Switch 2: How do I even fix the heating problem?

So i have a launch day switch 2, and i use it for content creation/streaming, but i have been noticing lately that my switch 2 when left alone in the dock for a 1 hour stream of splatoon 3, with the boost mode off, i can feel the console screen itself feeling hot. Does anyone else have a solution? I'm also new to this type of community.
Not sure what i need for fixing this thing by myself with what replacement parts.
Nintendo Switch 2: How do I safely remove the anti-shatter film?

I'd like to remove the plastic film that comes applied to the console. I know nintendo said not to remove it, but it scratches so easily (mine is already scratched) and it gets all smudged by fingerprints - basically, it's awful.

I am hoping that by removing it, the scratches will go with it. I can then add a tempered glass screen protector afterwards

Nintendo Switch 2: microSD Card Reader will not read Express cards

Hi there, been enjoying my Switch 2 for some time now and finally decided to expand the storage for it (dang game-key cards....). Anyways, I bought the Onn 512GB express card, new and unopened. However, as soon as I open it and put it in, the console doesn't recognize it. Like, nothing pops up. Still says there's no card inserted. I tried it on my sisters Switch 2 and it popped up just fine. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think it's broken, because during setup, I had to transfer photos/videos from my Switch 1, requiring me to insert my Switch 1 microSD card to do that, and it worked. So now I'm just really confused. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!

Nintendo Switch 2: Saffun N64 Wireless controller won’t connect

I saw another post here and on Reddit about this, but they all had to update their USB firmware, while I did that. I believe my issue is with the controller itself.

My controller won’t show any LED outside of the sync button (shows the first light) or the menu button (shows the second light). The USB seems to be working and is recognized by the console, the controller just won’t connect to it. Is there an update file for the controller?

Nintendo Switch 2: Using Switch 2 without any Bluetooth when docked?

With the first generation of Switch (which I’ll call “Switch 1”), it is possible to use the console in dock mode (plugged to a TV) while preventing the console to emit Bluetooth. As documented there in the last two comments, all you need to do is use only a wired controller and enable the setting that forces it to communicate with the console via its cable.

I’m wondering if the same thing could be done on Switch 2.

The user manual says that, when docked, the console always activates its Bluetooth antenna. This behaviour is identical to Switch 1. However, I suspect it does not emit any signal as long as no wireless controller tries to communicate with it. This is how Switch 1 works, thus enabling to play in docked mode without any Bluetooth.

I contacted customer support at Nintendo. Twice. But the persons I got in touch with did not understand my question, and replied that I “just need to turn off Bluetooth”, which is impossible when the console is plugged to a TV (as Nintendo’s own user manual says).

A friend of mine confirmed that the setting to force wired controllers to communicate via their cable is still present on Switch 2. So the only remaining question really is to know whether the Bluetooth antenna stays silent as long as not wireless devices tries to communicate with it, exactly as Switch 1 did.

Thanks for any help!

Nintendo Switch 2: Does power only run through the battery

The Switch1 had a design limitation that the power supply ran through the battery only.

This meant that, if the battery failed, you couldn’t run the device on mains power. Also, if the battery was not exercised periodically it would die. This meant if you primarily used your Switch docked, it could completely die (unless the battery was replaced).

When you do your Switch2 tear-down, could you check whether this design approach is the same?
