Nintendo DSi XL: Can I flash an Europe NAND backup onto a Japanese motherboard?

I own a Japanese version of the Nintendo DSiXL and I'm getting tired of guessing what the Japanese characters on the menus mean. Now, I know dsi.cfw.guide said that you can only restore a NAND dump from the same device but I'm just wondering whether it's possible to flash an Europe version's DSiXL's NAND dump onto my Japanese version DSiXL. Would they be completely incompatible or is there a chance that it's going to work?

Nintendo DSi XL: Touch screen bezel coming off

Hi guys,

Lately I was having some problems with my DSI XL's touch screen "pulling" to the left of the screen when touching. I inspected the screen and I noticed the border / frame / bezel around the screen has come loose a bit from the adhesive that attaches it to the touch screen. I cleaned it from any dust and debris but it won't attach properly to the screen anymore.

How would I have a go at repairing this properly?

Nintendo DSi XL: DSIXL charging light flashing irregularly

When I connect my NDSiLL to the charger it showed no signs of being charged at all. The motherboard looked almost new, it has no signs of corrosion, no missing components and no damage at all. I tried a new cable, cleaning the port, bridging both fuses, replacing the battery, but nothing worked. Out of desperation I updated the system and miraculously the light began flashing. However, it's irregular, unlike the blinking light that other people encounter. The charging icon is also shown briefly when the charging light comes on but vanishes just as fast. I checked and there's a constant current passing through the charging port to the motherboard, which eliminated the charging cable and charging port, but I have no idea what went wrong.

I also plugged the cable into a mac and somehow the light was constantly on for a short time, but disappeared after a while as thought the mac refused to charge it.
Now, the issue could be that I wasn't using the stock power block but a charging cable, which could have different charging voltages or whatever, but the cable worked on my 3DS and on a broken motherboard. I suspect that it's an issue with the charging cable but I need to know for sure. Did anyone else came across this ridiculous issue?

Nintendo DSi XL: Rusted motherboard, irresponsive touchscreen

I bought a DSILL (Japanese version) with signs of water ingress inside and rust/corrosion on the motherboard. It boots fine, runs Pokemon, and even takes pictures, but the touchscreen only register touch on the lower half, jumps around, and occasionally stops registering anything.

I'm certain no CFW was installed, as the Unlaunch hotkeys did nothing while boot. Right now I replaced the touchscreen in case it's faulty, but the issue persists. I even tried to reflow some of the ICs with a hot air station but it had no effect. I suspect that some components are corroded or shorted, but I have no idea how to check them or which ones should I replace.

UPDATE: I took the IC off and reapplied solder to the pins. There's indeed some corroded solder but the pins are all fine. After cleaning the corrosion with a solder wick I used the hot air station to solder it back on. Not perfect(It's my first time using a hot air station to solder a SMC), but at least the pins look connected. The touch issue STILL persisted though. I tried another new touchscreen that just arrived and the issue is the same. The socket was cleaned, the IC was reballed, the motherboard was cleaned, I have no idea what is causing the problem now. could it be a faulty IC or other capacitors or resistors mounted on the board?

Nintendo DSi XL: Nintendo DSI XL wont charge but it works in every other way

I dug out my old Nintendo dsi XL and wanted to play again. So when i wanted to turn it on nothing happened. So i wanted to charge it and nothing happened. I also have a small dsi wich also has the same problem but its battery has half of charge left. So i placed the battery with haft of charge in my XL and it worked in every way. It startet, i could play games and so on.

So my device works but when i want to charge it, no light appears and nothing happenes.

I saw that maybe the original battery is totally dead and i ordered a new one, but this didnt fix my issue, because i saw that even without a battery a blinking light should appear.

So I looked further in the cable and tried may different ones, but these cables work with other systems and cant be the issue.

I also saw here that the carging port could be bent a little bit and therefore i adjustet the connection with a needle a bit.

Lastly, I opened the device and looked inside. Everything looks clean and no Water Damage is in sight. Also everything is working. Even saughtering the connetions again didnt make a difference.

So this is my situation...I cant imagine what is wrong with the device, because it is working with a different battery, but there is no charging light and the battery wont charge.

Thank you for your advice and help

Nintendo DSi XL: Red charge light blinking, won't turn on afterwards!

Hello! I have one problem, two systems with this problem. When I plug in my DSi and DSiXL, both exhibit a blinking red charge light. But do not charge. I left them both plugged in all night long, then when disconnecting, if I try to turn them on, I get a brief split second screen wtih a blue light, then they turn off. After this I get no lights of any kind. Neither one has been subject to water damage. I AM however using a charging cable that is plugged into a transformer, as my systems are american, but I live in Germany. Could this be causing the problem? I have another DSixl that seems to be working just fine using the same cable and outlet. No problems at all. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated!
