Very simply, the L and R buttons on my DSi don't work anymore. I tried going to Nintendo about the problem, but they said it'd cost at least $50 to repair...and my system is long past its warranty. Will I have to take apart my DS to fix it?

Nintendo DSi: Charge indicator blinking orange, will not power up

Cracked open my sons DSi to look into the right shoulder button not functioning. Put it back together and button still not functional. Opened it up again to clean button better, now the DSi will not power up and the orange charge light only blinks when plugged into wall charger. When I hit the power button, the blue light comes on for a second or two then goes out. Left it charging overnight with no success. Is it more likely that the battery now needs to be replaced or did I damage some internal component the second time I cleaned it?

Nintendo DSi: DSi not booting and showing error screen

Bought a DSi that looks like it's been smashed by an angry gamer or parent. Both screens are shattered, but there are no signs of fall damage on the casing. When I put the battery in, the console would try to boot, the backlight would come on, it would chime, and then stop halfway and freeze, no matter what I do. I swapped the WiFi card, installed new screens, and tried to boot it on, but it showed the error message screen in Japanese.

(I removed the cpu shield just to see if any components are dislodged, but there isn't any)

What could be the issue? The motherboard isn't bent, there's no corrosion, the socket for the WiFi card is fine, and it even boots halfway. Could it be that the console is now haunted by the bug that died inside?

Edit:

I don't know how I missed this before, but the casing is bent, and although the motherboard isn't, I'm pretty certain that solder of the CPU or NAND was loose. Planning on doing a reflow now. Does anyone know what temperature I should set my hot air station to?

Nintendo DSi: DSI bottom screen distorted with low contrast

Hi all,
I'm not that advanced at repairing things, so forgive me if this is something obvious, but I could not find any info online.
I recently bought a broken DSi. I looked up the listing's explanation of what was wrong and found an easy repair (just replacing the WiFi card) so I did it.
It seemed to work well for the first 20 minutes, but afterwards the bottom screen started getting more and more distorted and dimmer by the second. I'm attaching a video for context. I tried reseating the flex cables for the bottom screen and it seemed to work for a bit, but no more than half an hour later the bottom screen started acting weird again. Is there any fix for this, do I have to buy a whole new bottom screen, or is it even worse.
Please let me know guys, thanks in advance!!!

Nintendo DSi: DSi not booting after uninstalling unlaunch

Hi, I tried to install unlaunch on my DSi in order to use hiyacfw to play NES games on the go. After something weird happend, i tried to just start over from scratch. I started by removing the content on my SD card and then proceded to use the uninstall feature on the menu. Thing is, after a bootup, the console would not do ANYTHING, just a black screen with a code (only the first boot after uninstalling) and then a plain black screen every other time. I read online after doing the procedure that I should not have used this feature and that I now have to hardmod the console, but how do I do that ? Is there any other way than hardmodding it ?

BTW: I have a north america console.

(here is a picture of what the screen looked like the first time after uninstalling before being completely gone):
