Hi. I'm looking to revive my DS lite. I haven't used it in a long time, and last time, there wasn't any crack on the bottom screen.

Description: I don't feel any crack on the very top layer of the screen with my finger, so it's definitely something under. The touchscreen still functions flawlessly.

I haven't done screen repairs before so I'm not sure what seems to be the problem. Therefore, I'm asking to decide my next purhAny help would be appreciated!

Nintendo DS Lite: Why won’t my DS lite stay off?

My childhood DS lite will not stay off. I power it off and within a couple minutes it turns on by itself. I dropped it a couple years ago and broke the part with the power light so the screen doesn’t stay up by itself but it’s never acted up like this. I played Animal Crossing Wild World and it suddenly turned off and turned back on a couple minutes later.

Nintendo DS Lite: Why does my top screen look low quality and show the wrong colors?

I got my daughter this DS lite online. It originally had green lines moving around the top screen, and fiddling with the ribbon fixed that, but the screen image still seems low quality and the colors aren't showing up right. Green shows up as black, pink and orange show up as yellow. Do I just have to change the screen?

Here's an image of what ours looks like and a screenshot of how it should look:

Switching it out worked, and the screen looks good.

Is there a way to get rid of the letters printed on the screen?

And how would you recommend putting the pink border back around the screen?

Nintendo DS Lite: Power on/off issues

Found out my old ds lite, after a full charge it worked seamlessly for about 2 days then would not turn on so figured the battery was dead. If charges fine but now it keeps going into standby mode on its own and won’t actually turn on using the switch. If I open it while it’s in standby I can get it to boot up and start a game everything works both screens all buttons and sound but will just randomly turn off after about a minuet. Not really sure what the issue is if someone can shed any light on this it would be great

Nintendo DS Lite: D-pad diagonal inputs don't register correctly

Like the title says, the D-pad on my ds lite doesn't register diagonal inputs well. All four directions work perfectly when pressed separately, but I can't move a character in a diagonal line. I've tried cleaning both the contacts and the membrane, and I've tried a different membrane, but the most I can get is spotty diagonal inputs on a rare occasion. Any idea what else I can try?

Nintendo DS Lite: Help with DS Lite repair - Water damage

Hi everyone, recently I tried fixing up my brother's DS Lite that had stopped working due to water damage a long time ago. When I try charging the DS the orange light briefly turns on then off. I cleaned any residue I found inside with some isopropyl alcohol and used a multimeter to check fuses F1 and F2, EM10 filter and charging port, all seemingly working fine. I came to the conclusion that the battery is fully dead, since I read that the light does that when no battery / dead battery is connected and due to it feeling kinda puffed up to the touch, also I coundn't get any reading off of it with the multimeter. Is there any way to be sure that the battery is truly the issue before I buy a new one? Thanks in advance!
