Nintendo 64 Controller: How do I remove the plug?

One of my controllers suddenly stopped working in the middle of a Mario cart race.

I finished the race with the other controller so the port is fine.

Buttons/joystick don't do anything and plugging into port 1 shows no controller detected.

Not sure how this could happen suddenly with no drops or yanks just dead.

Tried to test the wires in the cable and the white /middle wire seems to show no conntenuity.

How do I remove the plug though?

Nintendo 64 Controller: Size of all the screws used?

I am trying to replace some stripped screws, I live in the UK so I need the correct dimensions for the Exterior, the Pak port screws and the Joystick screws and if possible the screw for the joystick itself that keeps the spring down. I cannot find any of this information online, I have tried to measure screws myself but I am not understanding exactly how to search the results to find what I need. These screws seem to be very easy to come by as someone is selling 50 piece packs of them although this person is based in America and I cannot justify the shipping costs. Here's their store for reference: https://mortoffgames.com/index.php?route...

Please if anyone could measure these who has actual knowledge of how to do that, it would be really helpful.

Nintendo 64 Controller: The expansion port on the back of the n64 controller

I have been trying to play Pokémon stadium for the n64 but all four of my controllers don’t read that there is a transfer pak and game boy game in the controller, two of the controllers are third party so that’s why they aren’t working with the transfer pak but I was wondering how to repair the oem expansion ports, I have tried three different transfer paks and multiple controllers to no avail, the Pokémon game I have been trying is authentic too, thanks

Hello. I am trying to remove the main cable in order to replace it, but it seems to me that the cable was not made to be removed easily. It feels like it will broke or something. It's not like the joystick cable that is easily disconected. How do I remove it without breaking?

Nintendo 64 Controller: Nintendo 64 Joystick, reversing Y axis.

Many fps games on the Nintendo 64 have forced inverted view controls. I want to open up a Nintendo 64 controller and switch places for the Y connections, so that the joystick itself becomes reversed in the Y axis.

What cables from the data plug of the joystick are the Ya and Yb cables?
