Nintendo 3DS XL 2015: When I turn 3DS on, blue light appears but screen is black (has CFW)

So I was playing ACNL, then I put my 3DS in sleep mode after I was done playing. A week later, I come back to play and the screen is all black, though the blue light is still there. I figured it must have somehow froze, so I held the power button to turn it off entirely. Unfortunately, after that, every time I tried to turn the system on, the blue light appears, but the screens remain black, and I can’t actually do anything on the system. I‘m not sure what to do. If it matters at all, it does have CFW installed, but I doubt that’s the issue, as it’s been installed for about a couple years by now with no problems.

Nintendo 3DS XL 2015: Where to find wifi card on new 3ds xl?

Hi, my new 3ds xl has 2 black screens that never go on even though the power light goes on and stays on. I read that in older models it was often a result of an unseated wifi card. I've opened up my 3ds xl but I can't see the wifi card, it definitely doesn't look the same as the normal 3ds / 3dsxl so I am wondering where it is and if the unseating is still an issue in the new 3ds xl.

I found one other person asking for this on here, but their answer wasn't very clear so I'm stuck.

Can anyone please advise? Thank you!

Nintendo 3DS XL 2015: N3DSXL only turns on with blue light then shuts off.

Hey all. I am repairing a N3DSXL and replaced the bottom screen with a replacement from ebay. Unfortunately, the 3DS won't turn on when I try to boot it up. It turns on with the blue power light and the bottom screen can't really turn on and a slight 'pop' is heard.

Here is the screen I replaced it with:

http://m.ebay.com/itm/Replacement-Lower-...

I did take it apart several times more to check for loose ribbon cables but, no dice. Any ideas what it might be? The screen seems to differ also in that it has one less gray-ish connector on the top. But, that's just what the replacements seem to look like. Everything is connected properly and I didn't forget to connect anything. Could I have connected one of the ribbon cables found underneath the motherboard incorrectly?

Thanks!

I bought the system used and the outside is in fantastic shape, almost immaculatel, but it will randomly freeze, not shut down, or the screen won't turn on or will light up but remain black. Sometimes after resetting it, it will work perfectly for a few hours but inevitably freezes again. Any help?

I have tried the Nintendo troubleshooting tips, but to no avail.

I recently tried taking apart my New 3DS XL only to find out that I'm an absolute idiot. I broke several of the FPC ZIF connectors by lifting them up. My 3DS no longer turns on completely, but instead the power light stays on for maybe three seconds only for it to make an extremely quiet pop and immediately the light turns off. I don't know if the connectors are the reason it no longer turns on correctly, but I would guess so since everything else seemed fine (no obvious torn ribbon cables or partially connected cables).

I would like to know how to repair the connectors. Can I use glue or something to keep the parts I lifted up down? Or should I try my hand at soldering?

Nintendo 3DS XL 2015: 'Black Screen of Death'? Need Help

So, my New 3DS XL (the model with amiibo support and the c-stick) suddenly stopped working. While trying to fix an issue with the 3D not working right, both screens went black. I could still hear the music and sounds playing on the main menu, but I can't select anything. The system also doesn't turn off right away when pressing the power button and it doesn't go to sleep when closed either. Everyone else I've asked thinks that I must've dropped it and knocked something loose, but after opening up the system and checking, I can't tell what's wrong. I've given up looking it up on the internet because all I get is how to fix a similar problem with the older models, and that doesn't help me in the slightest. I'm really frustrated right now and just want a straight answer. Can anyone tell me what's wrong? And how to fix it, because as a college student I really don't have the time or money to send it in for repairs.

As a side note, I bought this system over a year ago, so the warranty is expired. I'd rather not just buy a new one because I have no way of transferring my profile over to a new system. And this means I'll loose all $150+ worth of games, DLC, themes, and whatnot I've bought over 2 years of owning a 3DS, not to mention all the Pokemon I currently have stored in Pokemon Bank. So a new system is out of the question unless there's an alternate way for me to copy over/transfer my profile.

Nintendo 3DS XL 2015: What does it mean if the ribbon cable has a black line?(NEW 3DS XL)

I would like to know from someone who knows about ribbon cables, and This is a photo of my game console(NEW NINTENDO 3DS XL), and yesterday the bottom screen suddenly glitched and then went black, so I took it apart, cleaned it, restarted it, and it started working again. But the screen turned black again, and I bought lcd screen and replaced the bottom screen, but sadly the screen was still black. Everything works fine except bottom screen not turning on.

So I looked it up on the internet and found out that the camera ribbon cable or if other ribbon cables were broken. It seems that it won't start properly,

so luckily I found that these ribbon cable was a little rusty, (Upper LCD Screen)

had black lines, (Upper LCD Screen )

and some of the metal at the tip was kinda peeled off.

(Speaker Ribbon cable)

.

.

and it is difficult to determine which of these three causes the failure... I'm worried if it doesn't start up after replacing the parts, since I bought the lower screen before, do you think I should replace the Upper Screen now?

Update (12/16/24)

Thanks for the answer, @dan0 and @oldturkey03.

Unfortunately, the device is still not working after cleaning.

I did some research on the internet before attempting the repair and was very careful during the process, so I hope nothing else is broken.

Yesterday, while troubleshooting the issue, I noticed two potential problems. First, the speaker's flex cable appears to be damaged, so I ordered a replacement online. Second, it seems like there might be missing solder on the connector for the bottom screen. If my observation is correct, this could be causing the failure.

if replacing the speaker flex cable doesn’t resolve the issue, I’m thinking of replacing the top screen’s flex cable, which has a suspicious black line.

Lastly thank you guys for the comments and answers I appreciate it so much .. I will update again

Nintendo 3DS XL 2015: Turns on but will freeze shortly after

I have a 2015 3DS XL that will freeze after I turn it on, especially if I am putting in a game or opening an app, and will delay turning off. When it first turns on, the only light that comes on is the blue power light, and sometimes only the black screens will be on. I have tried doing research into what the issue might be, but have found nothing. If anyone has an answer please let me know! And yes, this device has been dropped before.
