Nintendo 3DS XL: What other things I should try to fix my bottom screen for old 3ds xl?

My bottom screen does not put out display, just all black but the whole device turns on and everything works, just not the bottom screen.

I know the motherboard is the problem and not the ribbon cable of my bottom screen as I have tested the screen on a known working 3ds xl board and it is completely fine.

Now I'm stuck with what to look out for to repair. The 2 ZIF looks normal to me as far as my eyes can see, I do not have access to a microscope to look a little closer.

So before I do anything, what other things I should look out for other than the ribbon cables? Is it possible that a fuse is dead and which one are those? Thanks for the help

Nintendo 3DS XL: Weird System Power Issue

My 3DS is having a weird issue. When the 3DS's top screen's hinge is at about a 95-degree angle or less, the system works perfectly. However, if I push the screen farther back, the system fully turns off. I should point out that the system is not modded, meaning it isn't an issue after modding.

Nintendo 3DS XL: 3ds hinge keeps popping back

Dear people from the internet,

My brother dropped his 3ds XL and hereby he broke the case of his 3ds XL. My other brother and I bought him a new case and I'm trying to put the motherboard from the old case in the new one. Since the hinge got lost, I bought a new one for him, but I can't seem to put it in the case. I tried to follow the steps from this movie (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dVn_m_OI... see 10:24 ) . I did al the other steps via ifixit pictures, but I couldn't find a good picture for the hinge.

Whenever I try to open the 3ds XL, the hinge keeps popping back (see https://vimeo.com/200072013).

Does someone know if I'm doing something wrong or if I bought the hinge for another 3ds or something?

Thanks in advance by a sister who lost all hope...

Nintendo 3DS XL: No display - coloured lines on touchscreen

Hi,

Very much fault of my own, but my 3ds fell a few months back and ever since the display has not been working, whenever I turn it on there is only lines on the touchscreen. I did attempt to poke around a little but didn't do much as I was worried about making it worse. I've had it shelved since.

I understand there may be an issue with the screen itself, or a loose ribbon cable, but I would very much appreciate if anyone could provide some advice on which specific cables may be the issue so I don't do any unnecessary tampering.

Thanks!

Nintendo 3DS XL: Why is my battery not calibrating?

Hi! I ordered a replacement battery for my 3DS XL and I haven’t been able to get it to calibrate even after several tries of following the instructions. My 3DS flashes red for nearly 2 hours before it begins to shut off. Then I have to repeatedly turn it on for 2 seconds at a time for 15-30 minutes before the power button finally does nothing. I’ve then charged it overnight without using it. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue and actually found a fix?

Thanks!

Nintendo 3DS XL: Console not turning on

My 3DS XL is not turning on after I dropped it a few weeks ago (the top screen wasn’t working at first, but now the whole console is not turning on. It makes a clicking noise before shutting down every time I try to power it). I opened it up and tried disconnecting and connecting the WiFi chip, also disconnected and re connected the entire motherboard, but it’s still not working. While connecting them, I noticed one of the top screen ribbon cables has a small cut through it. It’s still connected, but the cut is obvious. It had it since I re-shelled it a few months ago, though, and the console didn’t have any problems.

Should I replace the ribbon cable, or is there something else I need to do? If it’s the first, what ribbon cables would I need? It’s the cable underneath the thinner one.

Nintendo 3DS XL: [MODDED] (Luma CFW B9S) 3DS XL no sound + black screen

I recently found my 3DS after I losing it in the house somewhere for a while. I tried booting it up with the SD card inserted into the 3SD and it downright refused to show anything on the screen, no sound, nothing. I tried booting up the 3SD without the SD card inserted and it booted perfectly fine as I have Luma CFW installed to the CTRNAND via the Boot9Strap method. But everything I need is on the SD card, this includes all my games, FBI, Luma updater, and Checkpoint.

I have tried removing the battery while the console is turned on. (Not the best idea)

I have tried recovery mode to update the firmware.

I have had a look to see if any cables are loose.

I have tried letting it boot up for 10 minutes.

I have tried changing the boot.firm file to the latest version 1.9. (as of this post)

The SD card is formatted as FAT32 and shows up without issue on Windows.

Any help would be appreciated.
