Nintendo 3DS 2015: Touchscreen and buttons not responding EXCEPT the 'new 3DS' buttons

So, my New 3DS developed this funny thing last week. After a few minutes of being turned on, all input would freeze with the exception of the ‘new 3DS’ buttons. For example, I can still scroll through the home menu using the nub (C-stick?) and the two small bumper buttons. However, I cannot select anything as the A, B, X, Y, touchscreen, D-pad, circle pad and the large bumpers are all unresponsive.

Since then the problem has started to occur earlier and at present it manifests right from when I start the console.

While it was still working, I’ve done a factory reset and updated to the latest software, none of which helped.

I’ve opened the console up but couldn’t discover any physical cause.

Any ideas?

One of my 3ds systems (new 3ds) used to work normally, but all os sudden it didnt turn on anymore (only if plugged in but didnt charge)

I took it to some repair shops but every shop told me that the repair wasnt worth it since the system needed a new motherboard.

I left the 3ds aside for some time, but didnt give up and kept searching online for a solution. After a long time i found that a possible solution was changing the ABXY board.

Since it was a cheap solution i decided to try it out. And it Worked!! But not for too long :( after one day or two it stopped working again.

So, what may be causing the abxy board to stop working? I want to fix my 3ds :(

Nintendo 3DS 2015: Why won't my new 3DS turn on?

Purchased a new 3DS standard used for $60. Was told it won't power on.

Purchased a brand new OEM battery from Nintendo's online store.

Received the device in the mail. Plugged in battery. Plugged in OEM charger. Orange light comes on. Let it charge for an hour.

Disconnected charger and pressed power button. No lights come on.

Disconnected charger and battery then pressed power button. Nothing (of course).

Disconnected battery but plugged in charger. Orange charge light comes for a few seconds before turning off. Single red light flash on power LED.

The screens do not power on and the speaker does not make any sound. Figured it was a blown fuse.

I borrowed my brother's INNOVA 3306 multimeter and identified the locations of the two fuses of the new 3DS. One fuse sits right next to the charger plug, beside a component labeled "03". The other fuse sits on the back of the power board, behind the battery contacts.

I touched the fuses using the multimeter probes with continuity setting. The fuse next to the charger port displays a "0" on the multimeter, which apparently means a current is running through it. I applied the probes onto the fuse on the power board and received a "1", meaning no current (?) and possibly not functioning.

I do not know how to solder so I purchased the entire power board component. Ordered a replacement power board on ebay for $10. Arrived. I dismantled the device and plugged in the new power board. Now I do not get any power LED responses. Orange charge light still comes on when charger is plugged in, remains if battery is plugged in. Multimeter reports "000" for both fuses.

Does anybody know what might be wrong with this new 3DS? How can I proceed from here?

Nintendo 3DS 2015: My 3ds only boots up with the ac adapter plugged in.

Alright so about a month ago, I was out, brought my 3ds with me as usual, played some on the tram but then it laid in my pocket in sleepmode until I came home from what I'd also say was a very chill trip. When I came home it had completely shut of and thinking it had just ran out of battery I went to charge it but it said it had full charge. So I pull out the cord and it instantly shuts off with what could be a popping sound perhaps (I've read a bit about popping sound issues but from what I've seen they don't seem that similar apart from this).

I asked a bunch of people over on reddit and everybody kept saying that the battery was done for but I've now tried the battery from my younger brother's 2ds, it still only turned on with the ac adapter plugged in and I've checked the battery with a multimeter and it seemed fine.

The next day when I went to check on it again I plug in the ac adapter turn it on and it doesn't recognize my micro sd card anymore so I decide to open it up to check so that the contacts look fine and also so those ribbon thingies are where they should be because those unplugging themselves have always been a fear of mine since I have opened it up a couple of times and those were a pain to put back.

Later the bottom screen has also gone black except for when I hold the cord in a special way.

So my final theory is that my motherboard is dying which is truly a pain because this console means a lot to me and it has got me through a lot. And the final thing I've come up with that I can try is to wipe of the motherboard with some isopropyl but I doubt it'll do much.

I wanna try to do everything in my power to get this thing going again because I really can't afford to replace it and if anybody has anything else I can try or some other theory of what could be wrong I'll gladly accept them and try them out. I would also appreciate all the help I can get in trying to find a replacement motherboard if that's now what's faulty because I feel like I have scoured around on the internet on all the places I can think of and I really haven’t been able to find anything. I also have cfw installed on my console so I really don't care for what region it is from.

Nintendo 3DS 2015: My 3DS won't turn on

I have had this console for at least 8 months, and it died on me. It was working fine too before it broke. No blue light would appear when I pressed the power button, and when I charge it, the orange light appears, then later dies after a few minutes. The weirdest thing about this error is when every once in a while, the New 3DS would boot on, and the battery would say that it's 3 bars full. Then after like 10 minutes, it shuts off automatically. What can I do to fix this issue? My DSi also died the same way, before the 3DS broke. I even changed the battery, and that still doesn't fix it. I want to deconstruct the 3DS, and see what's wrong, but i'm scared that i'll break the console. Is there a solution to fix this issue, or do I have to buy another one?
