Nintendo 2DS: Sd Card Slot Bad

I am pretty sure the SD card slot on the 2ds is bad. I've put different SD cards into it. It always says that the card is write protected. I know that its not.

Is there a way I can fix it? I read somewhere that maybe the arm inside the SD card slot for write protection is broke but I can't find anything on how to fix it or how to replace the whole sd card slot if I buy a new one to replace it. Thanks.

Nintendo 2DS: No power, popping sound from speaker.

Hey there everyone. I'm having a problem that has plagued the 3DS, the "my system if turning off and making a popping sound after 3 seconds". I have already tried reseating all of the ribbon cables and that hasn't fixed it. All of the information I can seem to find says that is the main problem. Is there any other problem that could cause these symptoms? Thanks for the help!

Nintendo 2DS: Device thinks that SD Card is Write Protected

The title may not make sense but I have a problem with my little sister’s Nintendo 2DS. Long story short, she took out the SD Card without asking me and put it on the wrong way. Now everytime I place the SD card in, the console thinks that the SD Card is write protected when it’s not since the switch isn’t on lock. I tried other SD Cards and it did the same thing, so I think the SD Card slot is broken. Anyone know how to fix this?

Also while it turns off u faintly hear the speaker make a noise and then it turns off ,just like the device itself.

i think the bar that is holding the games down is bent, and the screen has a very deep scratch in the top right corner, it can read games, as seen in the video, but the bent bar will push them out

anyone have a idea of how to fix this?

@flannelist Hm, I noticed that the spring will go in halfway, but then will push it back out

so the bar it the issue, because it wont go into the locked position with out force?

Nintendo 2DS: SD card slot problem

When i turned on my 2ds, i got "Could not detect an SD Card. The software on the SD Card could not be displayed." Error message. When i tried the sd card on my computer, it needed to be formatted. The sd card came with the 2ds and is 4gb, but it shows up as raw and only 1gb on my computer. It can no longer be reformatted, i even tried to do a low level format to no avail.

I decided to just get a new microsd card w/ an adaptor (sandisk sdhc 16gb class 10). First time i inserted it and turned the 2ds on, i got the same error. Turned it off and on twice and it worked fine. Next day i turned the 2ds on and got the error again several times. Tried the sd card on my phone and it was fine. It's working fine right now after i took out the sd card and put it back in.

Is the problem with the 2ds card slot? Is it fixable? In its current state, could it mess up the new sd card like it did the old one?
