Nikon D90: Blinking err, no shutter

I found my old D90 and tried to take a few pictures but it doesn’t work.

Viewfinder is dark

Live View doesn’t turn on.

When half-press shutter-release (trigger autofocus) Err starts blinking. Goes away after a while.

When fill-press shutter-release I hear a motor buzz but nothing else happens, no AF, not shutter, nothing.

What might be the issue? Is it hard to fix?

Nikon D90: Why does my camera lens keep falling out

I have looked over Youtube and I haven’t found any solution that doesn’t involve buying replacement. We used this camera a few months ago and everything was fine.
Nikon D90: Focus screen latch not latching. Could I have flattened it out?

Changing focusing screen, old out, thin gold border shim is back in, new screen in. Latch wire goes down but I cannot get it to engage the latch and click back into place. I was using tweezers and not the specialty tool for this. I now feel like the latch does not protrude as much as it appears in images online.

Am I just not patient with it or could I have folded the latch down by pressing too hard trying to seat the wire with the tweezers?
