I removed the lens and carefully cleaned the contacts, and the ERR message cleared. However, it's happened a couple of times again since the initial issue. The lens seems to work fine with my D5200 camera body, so I don't believe the issue is the lens. Has anyone else been through this and found a solution other than sending the camera body to Nikon?
