Nikon D70: Photos not saved to memory card

When I take a photo, all appears normal, however, the photo is not put on the SD memory card. I have swapped out to numerous cards of various sizes (i.e. 4GB, 16GB, etc) and still no success.

Nikon D70: Screw stripped - Replacing the CF Reader

One of the side screws is stripped. Is there anything I can do to get it out?

I am thinking of grabbing some tacky glue or something to make it easy to unscrew ( fill the void that was created ). I am open to suggestions and help.

I have a Nikon D70. Not using the model since the display lcd size is too small to review the images taken.

Is there any way to change the display size or will any other Nikon body fits the D70 body?

Nikon D70: Pictures are unfocused unless flash in activated

My Nikon D70 camera will only produce in-focus pictures when the flash is enabled. When the flash isn’t enabled the pictures tend to be unfocused and much darker than the scene being photographed. This is especially the case indoors. Any advice on how to fix this issue is greatly appreciated! Perhaps replacing/cleaning components? Firmware update? Setting modification?

Nikon D70: Why can I not change the focus/exposure area of any of my kit lenses?

I just recently have been unable to change the focus/exposure area on my D70. I have tried changing lenses and the same problem is present on both - I cannot move the selected auto focus area brackets with the Auto Focus Area Direction pad. I have tried rebooting the camera, changing lenses. The pad does function properly when navigating the menu.

Is there anything simple I can do to regain functionality of the pad?

The mode dial (pos 10 in pict.manual) appears not to function, after selecting a position, the camera remains in automatic mode, dial moves in a sticky way.

Has anyone tried soap and very warm water? Applied with a cloth to dampen the back and remove the dirt and perspiration (salt) ??? Just asking?

When you say that Isopropyl Alcohol worked, do you mean you wiped it down and let it dry and the original texture returned??? What % Alcohol? I believe Pharmacies sell 71% and 91%; which was used?

Does the sticky layer come off, or jus return to a rubbery feel?

Could someone detail the process a bit? more?

Nikon D70: Changing a photo from black to Color

I took some photos using my Nikon D70. It was one of those moments that needed a quick grab the camera and shoot. Unfortunately I must have turned the mode dial either the last time I put my camera away or when I took it out to shoot. I usually keep my camera in Auto Mode but somehow it got turned to Portrait Mode when I took the photos. I was trying to take photos of a very rare large Ram on a rocky outcrop. It was standing tall very close to me and was magnificent. I was so excited to be able to capture such a rare photo. However, when I got home and downloaded the photos everyone was totally black. I noticed my camera was in Portrait Mode. Is there any way to save the photos, turning them from black to what should have been fantastic photos? My camera takes very sharp, crisp, vibrant color photos most of the time. Can they be saved???

Where can I find a new Nikon D70 LCD Screen.

The LCD works perfect as new.
