Nikon D600: How do I open this ZIF? Connector?

Hi,

This is the underside of top of my D600 that I dropped. To mend the top display I had to remove this board and do some soldering.

I pulled out the ribbon that goes into the white connector at the bottom of the board as you view it - see attached photos.

I pushed back the ribbon, although it did no go completely in. After re-assembling the camera I found the wheel under the forefinger inperative.

How do I unlock this, I have so far not tried too hard as I must not break it!

Nikon D600: How to replace the internal battery?

The internal battery to save date/time is out of order, that means every time I take the main accu off the cam, I have to do these settings.

Does somebody know how to replace the internal battery? I do not want to bring the cam to Nikon Service and wait several weeks.

As in the other question title like this, I can seemingly charge the battery through the USB on the side of the camera and it will light green on the on/off button, but I cannot turn it on.

When I connect the USB to my computer, the camera gets registered for a split second, and the cuts off imedietely. Plugged in here, it lights green on the on/off button, and quiclky by the flash icon right next next to the display button.

When I plug it into the PC, the on/off button lights green, and when it does that, I can press and hold it, and it turns off, and if I press the button within a few seconds it lights back up, connects, and disconnects. This leads me to believe that the button works, or that it is atleast not completely dead.

The auto focus will not work with any lens that has the focus motor built into the lens. It works fine with lenses that use the focus motor built into the camera body. All switches on camera body and lenses are in the correct position, contacts on lenses and body have been cleaned with CRC QD Electronic Cleaner and the focusing system works perfectly when theses lenses are tried on another camera body.

I am a retired electronics engineer so have a lot of experience in electronics repair.

Is it worth replacing the autofocus module in the camera or does anyone have any other suggestions?
