Nikon Coolpix L820: My camera will not turn on.

It’s fully charged I’ve replaced the batteries three times with brand new batteries and there’s a brand new SD card in it but it will not turn on.

The camera turns on the batteries are new and the screen is on but nothing is showing and then after about 20 secs of being on the camera freezes.

Is there any fix for my battery door ? It won't stay shut just keeps popping open which prevents me from even turning the camera on.

I have a Nikon Coolpix L820 that I bought when it launched. I didnt use it much as I had alternatives, but there was one incident when i had to record the video and i happened to hit the memory full on the card, to the extent that it was out of memory. From that moment, my camera never recorded video well, which was otherwise fine. I thought it freezes as the card speed is low, i upgraded to a faster card, i formatted everything, i updated the firmware, but nothing helped. I can not even record 10 seconds of video footage, the camera freezes. I now need this back in right condition, if anyone can help me with a trouble shooting technique, i'd be very thankful!

While inserting the memory card, it stops without clicking and springs back up. The card isn’t damaged and there’s nothing foreign (that I can see) blocking the slot or at the bottom.

I have a dented lens ring on my Coolpix L820, which sometimes interferes with the extension of the lens.

I'm curious if the lens ring itself can be 'popped' off (it doesn't look like it would twist off), or do I need the replace the entire front cover, to which the lens ring is attached?

Every time I take photos using the fast multi shot feature after it is finished loading the pictures I get a system error message. It takes the pictures but I then have to turn the camera off and back on before I can take more pictures. It doesn't do this in single shot mode. I have tried replacing batteries and it made no difference
