hi. I own a Nikon coolpix l810, and I accidentally turned it on before I removed the lens cap. I took off the lens cap and the lens extended, but nothing showed up on the screen. I hit the power button again but nothing happened, except for the green ring lit up around the power button as if the camera was going to turn on. the lens is stuck out and there is no activity on the screen. I tried taking out the batteries and the SIM card, and still nothing. what is wrong with my camera?

Nikon Coolpix L810: Can the threaded mount be replaced?

The threaded collar at the bottom of the camera broke, so we are unable to mount the camera to a tripod. Can it be replaced?

Nikon Coolpix L810: Won't take pictures when I press the shutter release button

When I'm ready to take a photo and the subject is in focus, I press the shutter release button, and nothing happens.

This problem would happen periodically but became more frequent and now it does not function at all.

The camera turn on in the power button because the light turns in but it start for like 5 seconds on and then turns off but the creen doesn't light out it doesn't turn on at all!!

My NIKON Coolpix L810 has rarely been used. Yesterday, anticipating using it foor the Supermoon, I bought new batteries (just in case) and headed out with it. I even brought my manual in case I needed to refresh my memory about its use. I've never had an issue with it the few (2 or 3) times I've used it. Great pictures.

So I get where I'm going, take the lens cap off, and turn it on. The power light comes on, but the monitor doesn't, and the lens doesn't come out. I think it must be the batteries (though they've seldom been used in two years), so I change them being careful to ensure they're installed correctly. Close the cover and retry starting the camera. This time the camera power light comes on and the lens comes out, but there's no monitor!

I tried shutting it off and restarting it, but it is today as it was yesterday - stored in it's case with the lens not retracted. To say I'm disappointed doesn't quite express it. I have read the tech about the power saving mode being on, but without a monitor, how can I assess that? Any help you could offer would be much appreciated. I love this little NIKON. It's never been mistreated (dropped, water etc) ever. It's always been kept in its case at home. I'm at a complete loss. I have a little 6mp Canon Powershot Digital Elph that I've never had a problem with in over 15 years!

This issue with my NIKON is a real disappointment!

Do not have USB or computer. Is it possible to take memory card to a retail establishment like Walgreens or Walmart and make a flash drive? Or anywhere else you could recommend? I know I can take it and make actual physical pictures but I need it on a flash drive. Please answer. Thank you

Nikon Coolpix L810: How to remove corroded batteries

I let my camera sit way too long and the batteries corroded. I managed to get the compartment open and two of the batteries out, but the other two (the ones that have the negative end facing out) are stuck in place. Two-part question: 1) How do I get the batteries out, and 2) Once I do (if I do) how do I clean the area to make the camera come back to life? Thanks!
