Nikon Coolpix L32: Why is it turning off to prevent overheating?

My nikon Coolpix l31 is turning off to prevent overheating in under 30 seconds of having turned it on. This started about a week after I got it. Haven't used it much since, got it about 2 years ago.

Nikon Coolpix L32: Camera won’t let me format my SD card & keeps prompting me to format.

I bought a new Sandisk 64 GB Micro SD card for my camera and the camera outright refuses to format it. I will click yes and it still won’t format. I’ve tried another Micro SD card and it works just fine. Anyone else have the same problem?

Nikon Coolpix L32: Coolpix L32 turns off after short time. 2 sets of batteries tried.

Coolpix L32 purchased 2 weeks ago. I took a couple pictures, and then put it away. Now it comes on, but as I'm trying menu the on/off button starts flashing green and everything else goes dark; then it turns off entirely. I first used the batteries that came with it, and then switched to a brand new package of batteries. Same problem.

The flash light is on as I go to take a photo but it won't actually flash or take a photo and then a few seconds later the battery is exhausted. (Even after installing brand new alkaline batteries) I have tried resetting the camera and still nothing.
