Nikon B500: Why is my Coolpix B500 saying “Mode dial is not in the proper position

When I turn on my camera it shows an error message that reads “Mode dial is not in the proper position”. None of the functions or buttons work, even after removing the batteries and turning it off and then on again.

Nikon B500: How to replace battery terminal if missing?

Out of 4 of the open channels for the AA Battery to fit, the furthest right channel is missing a contact point for the negative node. I’m unsure how to fix this, will I have to disassemble the whole camera just to get to that one section? I bought a generic kit of assorted battery terminal ends but not sure that this will fix it.

We left the batteries in our camera for to long and one has now corroded the lower contact and it looks like it is ready to break. Is there any way to just replace the contact itself or will the entire contact board need to be replaced.

bottom metal contact on one of the batteries holes broke. I need to remove the part to fix (weld) the part or replace it. Need camera disassembling instructions.

Nikon B500: Why is it zooming in once turned on but I can’t zoom it out?

So when I turn the camera on, the lenses zooms in but when I try to zoom it back out so I can take pictures, it won’t. It’s fixed zoomed in and the zoom buttons won’t work.

Nikon B500: Camera lens won't extend due to bent outer ring

Dropped my camera and bent the outer ring on the lens and now it won't turn on because the lens can't come out. Is there any way to get the outside ring off?

Nikon B500: How to remove Water spots inside the lense?

My camera recently got submerged lense first in water and unfortunately got inside. I left it in some rice for a few days so it's all dried out and still works perfectly, only there are now dried water spots inside the lense and is now the main focus for my camera. Please can someone tell me how I can fix this issue? Or if it's even possible for me to fix?

Hello.

I bought a used Nikon b500 in good condition. Seller said everything works well, and from what I can see it does. However I am unable to to turn the flash on on the back of the camera. When I press the little lightning icon it does not respond. The flash works as it works other camera modes. I am unable to put it to auto or off. Button is unresponsive.

Anyone have an issue like this?
