I just bought this tablet brand new after Christmas and is extremely slow. One of its perks is supposed to be good gaming performance and good graphics. Although the screen is surely pretty good, it's slower than my phone when I'm nearly out of memory! It freezes constantly and I just want to know what is up and if there's a way to make it faster.

Why nextbook ares 8A is stuck on DNX Fastboot Mode on upper left corner? It is stuck on the screen and I cannot reset tablet either as boot manager gives me no option.

Settings: set the menu on "talk back" now can not get tablet to pull up ANY aoos, on talj bacj. Particular settings menu. Just want to tun talj back; bacj. Off. Please help. Somehow the. Voicé command will not pull up the settings app so i can turn talj back, back off. Please help asap.

Nextbook Ares 8A: Lock screen password locked out

My daughter wanted a password on her brand new tablet so her sister couldnt get onto it. I helped her put on the password. We decided to use her name so we would not for get it. I put it on and then it asked me to repeat the password. Then it asked me if i wanted to show the password on the lock screen. I figured why not? She is 11 she may forget it. Anyways i pressed the power button once to click the screen off to try her pass word. IT DOESNT WORK. He password is clearly typed under the box where you type your password but the screen will not open. What the heck? Its been since last september and we still cannot figure it out. She even has a google account we signed into from my phone thinking there would be an option to reset it from there. But there is not. And when we try what google search had to offer on factory reset. Well that doest work either. It ends up just saying no comand with the little android guy laying down with his chest opened with a red triangle and exlamation mark in the middle. I cannot even find a number to call or a store to take it to for help. We bought it from walmart they when we called and talked to the tech department they say they did not know and suggested calling the manufacturer. We cant figure that out either. Please help us. Or guide us in the right direction. This 68 dollar tablet she got for her birthday and got to play for 2 days.

Nextbook Ares 8A: Why does this keep going to the "battery charging" screen?

The warrenty has long expired on this old tablet, but I was still trying to figure out how to get it to work again. I’ve tried resetting and restarting, and it can get to the home screen with the basic water droplet background. I can tap on settings and go into it. I can look around for a minute or two to try and figure out the problem. But it keeps turning off and going dark. Then it lights up, showing the Nextbook logo, then the empty battery screen. Then it goes dark again. And comes back on with the “charging” battery screen. I’ve tried a firmware update, and it says there’s no firmware update needed. Most curious of all, the square (recent apps) button, and the circle (home) buttons simply show up the oval around them to say, “Yeah, you touched it.” But they do absolutely nothing. However the triangle (back) button still works fine. Any help?

Edit: Also, is there any way to completely factory reset it? I wasn’t allowed to go to the app store until I signed in with a “Google account associated with the original owner,” or whatever. Basically it asked me to sign in with one of the accounts I HAD signed in before on the device. Is there a way to reset ALL memory? I’m not worried about losing anything on the device, it’s empty anyway. I just want the thing to work, and to start over fresh with it, as if I just got it out of the box.

Edit 2: The menu you pull down from the top is also choosing not to work at random, if that can be fixed also, I would be very grateful.

I just got this Next book Ares 8 ….date of it January 2017 I had a June 2018 8 Next book anyway I'm having problems with this one the screen will turn Blue and I looked it up on the internet and it said the the LDS burn and it needed a new screen…i just got this replacement on February 21 2019…also all the apps on it says not responding and the System UI stops and the Process system stops…it takes about 4 minutes for the gmail to get on line…i had nothing but trouble with this tablet what do I do????

i did a factory reset and it starts back the Nextbook screen pop up and it don’t go any farther after it suposed to reboot back up. the Nextbook screen is stuck on it.

My next book Ares 8A keeps freezing when I am listening to music, have nothing on the screen except the home screen, and when I put it into sleep mode I feel the back of it when it freezes it is not hot at all it is the normal tempature I have not even had it for 2 weeks I got it this christmas.

This tablet just repeats itself,over ad over again. Ill touch the camera button,for instance,and it will say "Camera"."Camera" over and over again..I got this for Christmas,i think it originated at Walmart.Wally world wont take it back,because I don't have the original receipt..{Its was a gift..duh...}Should I just donate this to the Salvaton Army now and save my self a world od headache?
