Roberts Nailers 10600 2011: Staple plunger will not retract

My new Roberts 10-600 stapler failed on the second day of use. I am installing a vapor/ insulation barrier in my garage and using this stapler for the job of attaching the barrier onto the 2X4's. I shot approximately1000 staples and now the plunger that drives the staple into the wood will not retract.. You can manually drive the plunger back into the housing and it will fire one staple and stick again, It has been properly oiled after the initial use and now, the second day it worked for about 15 minutes and failed. Any suggestions?

Ryobi Cordless Brad Nailer P320 2016: How is this part not available?

My nailer took a tumble down the stairs and broke the metal bracket that the “no mar contact tip” attaches to (part of the depth set mechanism and the piece that sticks the furthest away from the body of the tool.) I've searched all the parts websites and it seems every o-ring and screw and other part is available, but I cant find this one and can't even find a good name for it. Not willing to buy a new tool over a $5 part. Can anyone help?

Hi all,

I recently opened up my Rapid BTX530 cordless staple gun after it stopped working properly. Turns out the issue was a jammed staple, which I’ve cleared.

However, in the process, I removed two internal parts (photos below). Which I couldn't figure out where they go. Strangely, the tool now works without them—but it's firing much stronger than before, to the point where the staples are being driven too deep, sometimes sinking well below the surface of the wood or material.

Has anyone experienced this before or know what function those parts might serve? Were they possibly regulating the depth or acting as a buffer? Where they should be put?

Any insight would be much appreciated—especially if it’s unsafe to use in this state.

Thanks in advance!
