Motorola Moto Z Force Droid: Speaker Audio Assembly for Moto Z Force

Hello experts and savants! I have a question (obviously). I recently replaced my internal Moto Z force battery using the ifixit guide of course, yet now that everything is back together I no longer have any audio output from the cell phone. Bluetooth audio works normally so I am certain this isnt a software issue. Would anyone know if I may have damaged something or not reconnected a pin when disassembling my phone to cause this problem? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Motorola Moto Z Force Droid: Phone won't power up or charge

Hi, a buddy of mine recently gave me his old Moto Z force, and i'm hoping to fix it up and use it. The issue is that the phone won't charge or turn on at all. No charging lights when plugged in. I tried the charger in his moto and it worked fine, so no issues with the charger. Apparently before the phone broke, when he would charge it, the battery would get very hot, but one day it just quit on him. He brought it into Verizon, and they told him that they thought that it was a battery issue, and that the battery needs replacing. I just want to see what people's experience is with this issue. I'm just hoping it was just a battery issue and nothing too major. but the phone was free, so i'm not afraid to throw money at it to fix it. Thanks a ton!!

Motorola Moto Z Force Droid: replaced battery and phone will not charge now.

I followed the repair guide while replacing the battery in my moto z force droid last night. I finished the battery replacement and the phone powered up and functioned normally. Now it will not charge and the phone is dead. The phone recognizes the the charger, but will not charge. I have since opened it back up and re seated the battery connector numerous times thinking that might be the issue, but it still will not charge? I dont think i damaged anything during the battery replacement? Any ideas? Bad battery?

Motorola Moto Z Force Droid: dead spot in touchscreen vertical scroll response

Hi: for the past couple of days, my year-old z-force droid developed a “dead spot” in the middle of the touchscreen…no taps or scrolling action in that area are picked up. So for example if I scroll my text messages from bottom to top, near the midpoint of the screen the scrolling stops until my finger slides up about 1/4-1/2” past the center, then resumes. If I’m typing a text, I can’t hit “send” when the send button is in the middle of the screen above the on-screen keyboard. If I click the “hide keyboard” button the send button slides down to the bottom of the screen, where clicking on it works. The dead spot goes across the entire screen…like a stripe of dead area. The only thing I did recently was allow Android 8 to autoinstall a week ago. Rebooting in safe mode doesn’t change the behavior.

Motorola Moto Z Force Droid: Should I give up on rice?

My phone dropped in the toilet, screen down Tuesday afternoon. I took it out immediately and it seemed fine. I place it screen down on the sink to wipe it off, I turned it over and the display wasn’t working. I could still hear notifications coming from my phone but i couldn’t see them. My finger touch worked as well. I was told by customer support to leave it in a well-ventilated area so I do. Fast forward to Thursday, still no response.I cant hear notifications anymore nor does the finger pad work, probably because it died.Today, I was told rice could still drain the water but it might not fix the phone. I had it in there since 9 this morning, should I just purchase another phone?

Motorola Moto Z Force Droid: How is LED selfie flash connected to digitizer?

I’m replacing the screen for my Moto Z. A couple of components need to be removed from the old screen/digitizer and connected to the new digitizer. One is the Selfie flash/flashlight LED. How is the power cable for the LED connected to the digitizer? There is no socket, etc. From the videos, it seems it’s stuck to the digitizer via adhesive. Screen glass was already cracked and online solutions suggested the led digitizer was bad. I replaced that and the battery and it still will not turn on. It does vibrate shortly after plugging into charger. Could the on off cable be damaged?
