Every since I purchased my phone 3 months ago, I get System updates notifications on screen. If you accept and download and install, within minutes it will tell me I have a new update. How do I turn this off?

Motorola Moto Z3 Play: Screen replacement causes digitizer to not work

We are a repair shop and we have tried replacing the screens on this model a few times xt1929-17 and every time the digitizer doesn’t respond on the new lcd has anyone experienced this issue or come up with a fix?

Motorola Moto Z Play: Touch not working after screen replacement

I replaced the digitizer and OLED screen on my Moto Z Play and now touch isn't working on the screen. I made sure everything is seated properly, but it's just not working at all. The only thing I can think of is that somehow the zif connector for the pair isn't seating all the way in as the line on the cable does not sit exactly at the opening where the cable mates, but about a millimeter out from it.

Mine is scratched in just few weeks of careful use. I’ve also seen that peeling is also quite common. Can it be replaced outside official service? e.g by me? Is just the Shattershield available for sale (not the whole screen+digitizer) and how hard is it to replace?

Hello experts and savants! I have a question (obviously). I recently replaced my internal Moto Z force battery using the ifixit guide of course, yet now that everything is back together I no longer have any audio output from the cell phone. Bluetooth audio works normally so I am certain this isnt a software issue. Would anyone know if I may have damaged something or not reconnected a pin when disassembling my phone to cause this problem? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Moto Z: Replaced battery and screen, now it isn't powering on at all.

I work at a tech company and a customer brought in his Moto Z, we quickly determined the battery was the issue as it ran out within minutes, so we replaced it. The issue we encountered from here is we noticed the screen had cracked, so we ordered a replacement for that. When the replacement came in, we quickly repaired it, yet the screen stayed black. We could feel the phone vibrating, so we knew this screen was a defective part. We returned this screen and got a new, much nicer looking one than the one we had been given before (neither of these are from here, just providing details). We put this screen on and plugged everything in correctly, but now the phone does not turn on whatsoever. We feel no vibrations, and once again no image is shown on the screen. Could this be damage to the battery from heating the phone to melt the adhesive when reapplying the screen, or is there any other possible issues? Thank you to anyone who is willing to share thoughts, recommendations, etc.

Motorola Moto Z3: Why is new digitizer/screen not working.

A couple months ago my wife dropped her z3 and the screen cracked. It was still functional, for about a week, then it started to black out starting from where it initially cracked. I took it to a couple shops and they all said it was about $120 to fix it or I could order a digitizer/screen assembly and do it myself…being tight on money I opted to order the assembly and do it myself…I've done it before with no issues, so why not? Well, the new part came in, I watched several repair videos, read several write ups, took my time and was very careful. Old screen and digitizer were both cracked. New one went in pretty easily, but I plugged the phone in to test it before glueing it together and nothing. The phone vibrates (she's deaf so it stays on vibrate only) when it powers in, and when I touch the fingerprint sensor on the side, but I have no display and no feedback when I touch the screen. Could this be a bad replacement part or is it more likely something else is wrong? We'd really like to save this phone and the data on it if possible. She's currently using an old Droid turbo 2 that has a battery issue and has had a battery issue since it ran out of warranty…same issue with every white Droid turbo 2 I've ever seen…battery doesn't last long and doesn't charge well, and randomly reboots/shuts down…so she's already frustrated that she's stuck with that pos until her z3 is fixed.

I replaced my screen carefully as told. However the screen is just black. O know the phone is on and working because If I attach my projector it comes on to just a moto background. I am not sure why it is not working.

Moto Z: How to move everything from old SD card to a new one?

Hi!

My phone currently has a 16GB SD card mounted and formatted as internal storage, but it's almost full because of all the pictures I take and apps I have. I just bought a larger card, a 32GB part, but I have no idea how to get everything to the new card.

Even if I install it with all files copied on it, the phone will want to format the card as internal before letting me use it; formatting erases all data...

Anyone got any idea on how to do this?

Motorola Moto Z Force Droid: Phone won't power up or charge

Hi, a buddy of mine recently gave me his old Moto Z force, and i'm hoping to fix it up and use it. The issue is that the phone won't charge or turn on at all. No charging lights when plugged in. I tried the charger in his moto and it worked fine, so no issues with the charger. Apparently before the phone broke, when he would charge it, the battery would get very hot, but one day it just quit on him. He brought it into Verizon, and they told him that they thought that it was a battery issue, and that the battery needs replacing. I just want to see what people's experience is with this issue. I'm just hoping it was just a battery issue and nothing too major. but the phone was free, so i'm not afraid to throw money at it to fix it. Thanks a ton!!

HELP! I dropped my Moto Z2 play phone in a pool 8 inches deep. I picked it up immediately and shook it out but then the screen went wonky. I put it in a bag of rice for 3 days....there is a white light that blinks when I plug it in but then disappears and won't turn on. is there a reset buttton or what can I do to make it work again. I thought these phones were water resistant? So disappointed and I really can't afford to purchase another one.
