Motorola Moto G6: Phone doesn't charge past 3 percent

I just changed the battery on my moto g6, but the new battery wasn't charging for some reasons. The only damage I could have done to the phone was when I was taking it apart, I slightly touched apart of the motherboard with some tweezers, and I carefully cleaned the motherboard with some 91% isopropyl alcohol and a small brush. I have tried using different cables and charging bricks, but it only charges to three percent when turned off, but not when turned on. The phone doesn't show that it is receiving power, but it does keep the charge for longer when plugged in. Don't know what else to do.

Motorola Moto G6: Why Is My Screen Flickering?

I purchased a brand new Moto G6 (XT1925-12) from Verizon less than 30 days ago. Within 2 weeks my wife was complaining that the screen constantly flickers and rarely gets bright enough to see unless you are standing in the dark. After messing around with it a while I realized that the screen even flickers during shutdown and boot up. I even tried a factory reset, but the problem continues. Adjusting the brightness slider seems to have no effect on the brightness, and if I disable adaptive brightness that doesn't help either. I thought I would take the phone back to Verizon to see about a warranty replacement, but when I pulled it out of the case, I realized the back glass is shattered. My wife says she has never dropped the phone and it always stays in its case. After some more googling I found dozens of threads where people have said that the glass breakage is caused by exposure to temperature above 100 degrees especially in high humidity. Whatever the case, does anyone know why the screen flickers? Is there anything I can do to repair it?

Motorola Moto G6: How to replace the battery in a Moto G6

Most info I have seen from Motorola says this must be done by a factory certified technician, or you void the warranty.

The battery photo shows a connector on leads, so it would appear to be a simple task once the back is removed.

Motorola Moto G6: Microphone only works with headphone in

When making calls, people cannot hear my voice, though they can hear garbled noises coming through. Having headphones in increases the sound quality to the point where I can be heard and understood, but not as clearly as normal.

I have tried using safe mode and the problem was the same. I visited a Cell Phone Repair shop and they quoted me a total of $215 to replace the microphone, because apparently they would have to also replace the screen to do so… so it was two costs (screen and mic), $149 and $65 (I don’t remember which was which, sorry).

The phone is not worth much more than that, so I am trying to find out how much the microphone itself is worth. I would rather try to fix it myself.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Motorola Moto G6: How to replace the usb type c connector?

I saw the video from a few years ago where Andrew worked with Jessa to replace the USB connector on the Glalaxy S3 but that was a regular USB port

I was wondering if anyone tried to do the same thing with the USB-C type connector

I noticed on the video that it was installed with the soldering iron by soldering the pins to the pad

The problem with the USB-C is that it has 2 rows of pins so there is no access to the inner rows so you can’t use the soldering iron so the hot air needs to be used

The problem I am having is that by the time the solder melts the plastic material that separates the pins starts to melt at a lower temperature so it damages the connector

What is the best way to install this type connector ?

Can this be done with just a hot air station or do I need to preheat it from the bottom maybe ?

Motorola Moto G6: Turbo Charger Plug Fell in Water

My Moto G6 turbo charger fell in cup of water. I took it out, stuffed thin toilet paper tissue inside the port to dry it out. Then put a hair dryer in front of it and blew warm air on low for a few minutes. I left it to dry for 8 hrs. and tried to charge my phone with the cable it came with and it didn't charge up my phone. When I switched the cable to attach to an iPad charger (white one about 2 in x 2 in) it charged up my phone. Is my Moto turbo charger damaged permanently, or is there hope it will work again?
