I have no cell network connection. It is not my provider. I took out the SIM card & put it in another phone & got cell connection. Is my phone broken? Can it be fixed?

Motorola Moto E4: I dropped my phone and the entire screen went black.

I received a hand me down moto a little while ago that already had a couple of cracks it it. And today I accidentally dropped it and the camera broke. And the screen also went black. I know it still works because I feel the device vibrate when I press and hold the power button. Which would indicate that it was asking me if I wanted to shut the device off. What tf do I do????

Motorola Moto E4: Fried something? Says it's charging but it's not

My poor old Honda destroyed my phone… Same charger and adapter I always use in my car, plugged in my phone and drove about 3 miles. When I grabbed my phone to unplug it, it was so hot it literally gave me a burn. The cord was hot both on my phone and in the car’s charging port, and the phone itself was hot just around the charging port. It had the “fried electronics” smell, too. Its been 2 hours since. Phone is plenty cool. Plugging it into my usual wall charger it says it’s charging, but the actual percentage is going down. Still smells fried too.

What did I fry? Battery, charging port, or something worse? I don’t have access to any spare parts or extra batteries to switch out and test.

Motorola Moto E4: Can't send text messages until reboot.

Occasionally, my phone will refuse to send text messages until reboot. Calling is still functional. This usually happens with an uptime of >24 hours. I have tried using different messaging programs, disabling and re-enabling mobile data, and cleaning the sim card contacts. What could be causing this issue?

This is a series of related issues. Firstly, occasionally the phone will drop 4G connection and not connect to it again until reboot, even in areas with very strong 4G reception. 3G and lower still works.

Secondly, the phone will sometimes connect to 4G, drop to 1x, and reconnect to 4G after mobile data is turned off then on again, but only stays connected to 4G again about a quarter of the time.

Thirdly, sometimes the phone will drop to 1 bar of voice only service, even in areas with strong data reception of any type. This one also is only fixed with a reboot.

Lastly, sometimes while having a stable 3G connection, it will continue to display data transfer and good reception, but no data will transfer until mobile data is turned off and on several times.

I’m sure these are caused by the same root issue, but i have no idea what. Any clues?
