Moto g6 play: Moto G6 Play replacement screen 1mm too short

I know this is going to sound weird but I ordered a screen from 2 different suppliers for a Moto G6 Play and both replacement screens are 1mm too short. Everything lines up at the top and the shape is perfect but there is a gap at the bottom. The flex cables work and are a perfect match to the original. Anybody else have this issue?

The phone belongs to a friend who is not savvy on a computer or phone, so I am asking for him. This phone has suddenly lost the volume. He can barely hear the ringtones & notification sounds even with it held close to the ear. Call volume, the callers voice is clear but the notification sounds are barely audible. I checked all the settings, went to Lenovo forum and saw several other reports of this. I tried everything short of a factory reset, all to no avail. Is this a common problem? Is there a known fix, short of sending it back to Motorola? I would really like to help him as he is disabled and is not technically adept at all. I understand iFixit is a Motorola repair facility so I though you could help us. Thank you.

Moto g6 play: My moto g6 will not boot

What can I do, if after I choose a category in the boot screen the moto G6 starts to turn on,the logo appears and then the screen turns dark blue and after a minute goes blank and it keeps doing that cycle. the buttons become non- responsive during this time. if i go to the boot screen no matter what category I pick, it does the same thing over and over.

I recently dropped my phone and there is a crack in the actual phone, not the phone screen. The phone has got a gap between the screen and the inside. There is also a shatter connected to it, but I'm not sure if it's on the screen protector or not and I'm to scared to take it off. I have kept the pieces to the phone but I don't want to have to get it repaired again. Please help!

Phone accidentally dropped on a concrete surface while running for a bus yesterday. There appears to be no damage to the actual screen (picture is fine and it’s still recognising touches as normal), but there is significant cracking to the front layer of glass.

Is it possible to replace this glass on its own or does the whole screen assembly have to be replaced? The whole screen would be more expense that it’s worth, but if the glass on its own can be done fairly inexpensively (either by paying someone to do it or DIY if it’s not too hard) then that might be worth it.

So this all started when I dropped the phone I. The toilet.It stoped working until we put it in rice which seemed to make everything fine until it started overheating.Also there is another problem that the percentage of charge does not update the percentage it does not go down or up when it is charging unless i reset it.

My moto g6 play was dropped, but the screen was not cracked. As soon as it happened, it went to a black screen and has not turned on or shown an indicator light when attempting to charge. Am I going to have to replace the digitizer if not the phone, or can I do some kind of at-home repair or tear down?

I have been having internet issues on my old phone (Samsung J5) where it continuously drops the WiFi connection (we have a Virgin Media hub and an extender so 2 WiFi connections), neither one shows up consistently when my phone is scanning for networks and then when it does manage to connect, they disconnect within a few minutes or it connects but says ‘Connected, no internet’. I figured it was because the phone was so old, so I’ve bought a new one (Moto G6 play) and the exact same thing is happening with this one! Everyone else in my house has an iPhone and has had no internet issues so I’m a bit stumped, can anyone help?

I can't figure out how to get the microphone working when phone calls are made, even when speakerphone is turned on. Yet I can give a voice command and the phone hears perfectly and I have been trying to figure out what's going on so I can call out or receive one without an external device like Bluetooth connection or headphones with a microphone involved?
