Moto Z: Replaced battery and screen, now it isn't powering on at all.

I work at a tech company and a customer brought in his Moto Z, we quickly determined the battery was the issue as it ran out within minutes, so we replaced it. The issue we encountered from here is we noticed the screen had cracked, so we ordered a replacement for that. When the replacement came in, we quickly repaired it, yet the screen stayed black. We could feel the phone vibrating, so we knew this screen was a defective part. We returned this screen and got a new, much nicer looking one than the one we had been given before (neither of these are from here, just providing details). We put this screen on and plugged everything in correctly, but now the phone does not turn on whatsoever. We feel no vibrations, and once again no image is shown on the screen. Could this be damage to the battery from heating the phone to melt the adhesive when reapplying the screen, or is there any other possible issues? Thank you to anyone who is willing to share thoughts, recommendations, etc.

Moto Z: How to move everything from old SD card to a new one?

Hi!

My phone currently has a 16GB SD card mounted and formatted as internal storage, but it's almost full because of all the pictures I take and apps I have. I just bought a larger card, a 32GB part, but I have no idea how to get everything to the new card.

Even if I install it with all files copied on it, the phone will want to format the card as internal before letting me use it; formatting erases all data...

Anyone got any idea on how to do this?

My Moto z isn't turning on. The service centre guys told me that they need to change to motherboard and it won't be covered under warranty because I rooted it. Please help me change the Mobo manually.

Moto Z: Rear camera glass shattered

Rear camera glass shattered. Can I get a replacement glass for this? I have insurance but don't want to use because it will cost $150. If I could get the glass, I can replace it myself. I can't seem to find the rear camera glass to fit this Moto Z Force. Help ??

Moto Z: "Your device has failed verification and may not work properly"

I recently bought a Moto Z from Bell that one day crashed and the screen read "Your device has failed verification and may not work properly."

I've never done anything to the phone but update the apps, Bell won't fix it and neither will Motorola (They tell me to go to Bell and Bell tells me to call them.)

I'm going in circles trying to figure this out!

Moto Z: My moto z droid f16.mot.xt1650.0 shuts off erratically at 70% power.

My Moto Z Droid F16.mot.xt1650.0 shuts down erratically anywhere from 75% to 50% power. When I go to turn on I get a circle with yellow triangle and exclamation mark. I have run battery check apps that say battery is fine. I have done safe mode, cleared cache, soft reset, factory reset. And everything else I could find online. Even happens when using the moto mod battery pack which makes me question if it is the battery. Seems like this started happening ever since the Oreo 8.0.0 update in Sept’18. If battery replacement is required, can anyone refer to a reliable source. I can do myself. Thanks for any help.

Replaced the Moto Z Droid battery and the phone only hums approx. every 20 seconds. TI thought maybe the new battery was too low to turn on the phone. Pluged it in and it still did the same thing. What do I need to do? Thanks to anyone that can help!

as i was replacing my screen for the Moto Z, the display cable shield (a metal piece with yellow tape on it) ping out of my hands and i am not able to find it, is there any place that i can find a replacement for this part?

Did a battery replacement on a moto z, Ear Speaker/loudspeaker worked just fine before, now it doesn’t. Ordered a new speaker assembly, installed it, and it has the same exact problem. What gives? if I had to describe it, it sounds like media is playing through as the earspeaker, but it’s turned up so loud it distorts. Is this a common issue, and how can I fix it?

when in connected it to the charger it stop restarting when i plug out the charger it will restart after minutes or hours ?

Moto Z: Moto z Bluetooth can't detect devices

My Moto Z brand new doesn't seem to be able to detect any bluebooth devices. I try using NFC and it'll recognize the NFC tag but will not pair. Do I need to replace something? I can't warranty it because I bought it off someone.

I’m trying to order a battery for my Moto Z, and I’m not sure what model I have. The model number says xt1650.0

All the model numbers on the store page end with a -x, ie: xt1650-1, xt1650-2, etc… I’ve searched the web and couldn’t find any reference at all to my model number, everything I’ve found there also ends with a -x.

Any help would be appreciated.

Moto Z: Water damage to sim card

I fell in a lake with my moto z. The sim card shows water damage. I have rebooted the phone and everything works, except the camera. Do I need to replace both the sim card and camera. I am still paying for the phone. Thank you

Moto Z: Can't the WiFi on . Can't shut off the phone with out holding the power

I been to trying to get my Moto z force Droid to go the factory reset. It's asking my for a password and I try everything I know . Plus it's not letting me shut off the phone. I need to literally hold the power button for 15 minutes and it restarts it. The WiFi is not turning on . Etc...
