Moto Edge 50: Phone shuts down immediately on boot with a 70°C temperature reading.

Device: Motorola Fusion 50

Background: I cleaned the phone with water (it is IP68 rated). The battery died at 0% while the port may have still been slightly wet. Since the phone was fully off, the moisture warning never triggered and I unknowingly charged it. The phone successfully charged to 100% and worked normally for around 4 hours after that. The next morning it started shutting down instantly on every boot.

Troubleshooting done:

- Tested in Safe Mode — same issue, shuts down immediately

Questions:

1. Does this sound like a PMIC failure or could it be something else?

Moto Edge 50: Power button came out but function working
