Monster iBeats: ibeats wire snapped for no reason, can I re-attach it?

I bought these last summer and for some reason the area that i put blue linings around snapped off, now i can only listen to music with one earphone instead of 2.

I really want to listen to music again with both earbuds and my question is how can i reconnect the wire and make it work again, and if it is even possible?

i used to cut wires and re-attach them on other electronics so i guess this will maybe work for my earphones too.

thanks

Monster iBeats: wire snap at terminal where wires converge into one.

My ibeats headphones cable has snapped at the poimt where it goes inside the part where the wire goes into one cable from two cables. So from buds down the wires into the point where they go into one cable and down to the jack its he point that they converge where its snapped inside a little black box.
