Hi folks!

Got a bit of a weird one and I was wondering if anyone had seen something similar.

It's an American model mixer, KSM150 (KSM150PSOB), came to me initially with uncertain history and no speed control. (I'm in the UK, running it off of a step-down transformer, which I know isn't ideal, but I have anecdotal evidence that this works fine for many friends with US model mixers).

When it turned up, the weights were disassembled from the governor and they were loose in the case.

I reassembled the governor and replaced the phase control board (making sure it was the correct part for the US model), and after that there was a difference in the speed settings, but all the speeds still seemed too fast no matter how I adjusted the speed control plate.

I then replaced the governor AND the speed control plate. The changes in speed between settings seem more pronounced now, but stir is still more than twice as fast as it should be no matter where I set the speed adjustment screws.

I might just have to give up on it, but thought I'd ask in case anyone knows what else it could be?

My Kitchen Aid Pro 600 recently stopped turning the planetary shaft. I disassembled it and found that the play in the shaft was allowing the bevel gear to slide above the pin that engages the shaft. I replaced the composite washer at the bottom of the planetary shaft with at thicker one, and that eliminated the vertical play in the shaft so the bevel gear again engages the pin; however, now the accessory drive shaft will only turn if held in from the outside, as though it were missing a thrust washer, but there was no washer when I first disassembled it months ago for a different repair, and none of the videos I've watched show one, either. Seem unlikely that the gears would be that worn, but I'm no expert. Any ideas?

Mixer will turn on and run for a couple seconds but will turn off by itself. And no matter the speed either. Tried looking into "reseting" the machine but the button on the back does not do anything. Maybe its a problem with the reset button or maybe just the thermal overload protection but i can not figure it out.

I have an older Kitchenaid Artisan tilt head mixer and even after speed adjustment and replacement of top plastic gear assembly, food grade grease and phase control board (original spare part) the speed won’t go up after position 8. Even when properly adjusted (60 rpm at 1, 180 rpm at 6), the speed difference between position 6 and 8 is minimal and between 8 and 10 is absent.

This speed problem was already there when I was given the mixer, but I was hoping the replacements and adjustments would fix the speed problem. Please advise.

and despite the fact that my motor was fully operational before replacing the pulley, now the motor (which is i've removed from the housing) doesn't spin unless i manually spin it first.

Then it spins normally but once i turn the dial to zero, when i turn the dial to switch it on again, the pulley/drive gear won't spin until i spin it manually again

Does anybody nlow where the top (#1) and the middle (#3)washer go?

Gearbox of a Chef XL, took it apart and these 2 came out of cleaning bucket at the end.

I am pretty certain that:

#2 (2 of them) go on the 2 middle gears, top

#4 bottom, driveshaft that connects to the slow speed

#5 slow speed

KMC510 model.
Been to the local Repair Cafe and they replaced the PCB KW37865 unit with a new one I had ordered as this was the suspected source of the issue. But it didn't work.
So where else might the problem be? I don't think it's the motor itself as it as working fine and the fact that it started as an intermittent problem makes me think that it's a connection somewhere that has finally gone.
I have been searching for a schematic for the mixer to see what else might be a likely culprit, but to no avail.
Has anyone had a similar problem with a Kenwood Chef mixer and what was the fix? I'm loathed to buy more spare parts as they'll just be stabs in the dark.

KitchenAid Professional 600: Planetary assembly doesn’t fall out, but drops creating a gap

I bought a used kitchen aid pro 600 6qt. It made jerky movements when mixing. So, I took it all apart. The gears are all fine. But the planetary assemble drops down about a quarter inch and the stationary gear in the main housing slides down with it and creates a gap and jerky movement. Help!

i just bought a super old KitchenAid model 3-C. I did a deep clean on it, taking most of the motor apart and cleaning out the gearbox. I've put it back together and it seems to work fine, but I've got an extra washer (as seen in photo) Usually I would pretend I didn't see the it but I'm trying to better myself lol. Does anyone know recognise it, or know where in might go?
