Minolta Dimage Xt: Unable to format a new 8GB sd card.

Hi

I have just tried to format a new 8GB sd card in my camera and it will not format it.

It keeps giving me the message Unable to use card, it has a yellow triangle preceeding the message.

I have tried formatting the card on my computer which was completed OK but when offered to the camera gave me the same message.

I have made no alterations to the camera and it still accepts my old card, but at 64MG it really is nowhere near big enough, any help would be appreciated.

Yours hopefully

David Booth

Many thanks for your suggestion, it seems that I will have to be content with a smaller capacity card, what a pain, I love the camera as it does all I want.

Tank you again

regards

Minolta Dimage Xt: camera appears to have died, in spite of new or recharged batteries

this camera is several years old, but I love it! just recently, it will not actually turn on, even with recharged or replaced, back up battery. Now it will not turn on at all.

I know it is probably not worth it to try and fix it. Would you recommend trying?

I guess it may be time to get a replacement.

Minolta Dimage Xt: Is there any way to repair damage from overvoltage?

I have one of these cameras, and I tried testing it with the DC power plug it has on the side. I was unaware that the power supply I was using was way too high of a voltage for the camera, and now it won't turn on at all. Any way to fix this or is it a total loss? Thanks.

I’ve taken the boards apart from each other and carefully inspected both for any signs of scorching or heat damage. The only two chips on either board that look damaged are these two in the pic. Not sure if that’s repairable, I might have to just get a new camera.

Minolta Dimage Xt: Where to buy replacement LCD?

Hi all,

I've disassembled my Konica Minolta Dimage X1 to the point that I've got the cracked LCD screen out, and I should be able to easily replace this with another.

Problem is - where do I buy the right LCD screen from?

The frame that surrounds the screen was marked Sony, and there are a couple of markings on the panel itself:

ACX339AKM-7

524AX1T

on a sticker on the ribbon cable.

APF339AKM

on the ribbon cable itself.

339

on the bottom of the LCD surround.

The specs of the LCD are:

LCD monitor • 2.5" TFT LCD

• 118,000 pixels

I know it's an ancient camera, but I've got an underwater housing and would quite like to fix it, and can't find another one to buy.

Cheers!
