Microsoft Surface Laptop 2: Surface pro 2 keeps turning on then off

Hi guys,

Before anyone says "use it as a door stop or a coaster" hear me out, i was given this for free and want to give it to my daughter to use for school, the issue i have here is the person who gave it to me decided in "recovery section" to go into Dos and do a diskpart (Clean) on the drive and now the surface turns on for 2 seconds flashes the surface logo then turns off and repeats over and over

Does anyone know of any fix for this at all?? would be greatly appreciated

Microsoft Surface Laptop 2: Stuck in automatic repair loop

I have a Surface 2 (model 1572 according to the box) that came in as a donation. It is stuck in an automatic repair loop. It turns on, preparing automatic repair, shuts down, and continues the loop.

I've tried holding the Vol+ and power, but will absolutely not respond with the Vol+ depressed.

I'm at a loss what to do. Please help...

Microsoft surface 2 Laptop battery replaced successfully. It is recognised and charges to 100% but as soon as I disconnect the power supply it shuts down. Have tried software fixes but I belive it is hardware.

The glass (not the lcd) on my surface laptop is cracked and needs to be replaced . Now the questions are if it’s possible to only replace the glass and where can I find one cause I couldn’t find it on the platform I trust so far (such as Amazon , aliexpress etc)

The digitizer works if it’s worth mentioning .

Surface laptop 2– had trouble with the singular usb port after an update. Restarted a few times ( restored from a backup) — now it won’t start at all. Tried different charger, different outlet. The light does not come on when it is plugged in ( charger works on roomate’s surface) so I figure this is an electrical thing.

the screen flickers, no logo, and then turns off again.

it was perfectly functional beforehand. Help?

Microsoft Surface Laptop 2: Cleaning & Alcantara Bond Glue

I'm having a similar problem as a couple other people on here, where the bonding glue that's connected between the Alcantara keyboard and the base is coming undone, and I'm wondering how to replace the glue (super glue did not help). But now that I think about it, I also need to figure out how to clean the darn thing! I've had this laptop for five years now, and I haven't been able to clean the inside of it once - because there's no way you can get inside it without breaking open the keyboard. What do I do?

Hello,

A while ago I decided to open up my Surface Laptop 2 for some thorough cleaning. This was before I saw any breakdown videos.

Everything went well until I discovered it was all held together with those adhesive strips or glue. I thought it was these "click" mechanisms that easily snaps it all into place. But I was dead wrong.

So now I'm here with a laptop with a loose top/keyboard. And I was wondering what type of adhesive strips I can use to get it all back snug and fit? If anyone else is experienced in this matter I would be grateful if you could provide me with some help.

I have replace 2 battery for the surface laptop. But non of this battery seen to work once i unplug the power cord.

The computer detect the battery and also show the battery percentage. I show also the status if it is charging or connected. But once i unplug the power cord, the laptop will turn off immediately.

I need some help because laptop will not work without power cord plug.
Non of the 2 battery send from iFix it seen to work with the laptop. Or there is a software block on the battery?

I have seen in the tear down video the separating of the keyboard from the base. This has happened by itself on my Surface Laptop 2 and it leaves a large gap between the base and keyboard. I'm wanting to know what type of glue I can use to refix it.

I want/need to test a Microsoft Surface Laptop 2’s power supply output. The laptop seems DEAD, but I’d like to ensure if its worth purchasing a ‘new’ Power Supply or not.

I’ve stretched my Google-Fu as much as I can and I’ve only come across the wrong style power connect (4 balls) vs the bladed with 6 pin (2x3)

Microsoft Surface Laptop 2: My touchpad is registering 'ghost' clicks, how do I fix this?

The touchpad on my Microsoft Surface Laptop 2 has recently started registering ghost clicks and is generally unresponsive. It seems to be a physical issue, as I’ve run several diagnostics to no avail, and when I hold the laptop upside down for a moment before righting it, the touchpad operates as normal for 5-10 minutes or so. Are there any recommendations for repairs, or is this an issue that can only be solved by taking/sending it to Microsoft?
