Xbox One Kinect: Why does my Kinect keep going through power down/up cycles then stop

My Kinect 2 for Xbox One keeps powering down and back up again then eventually doesn't come back on and shows the 'not plugged in' icon in the top right corner.

I could hazard a guess that it is over heating and shuts down as a safety precaution? If this were true maybe the fan isn't working. Should the fan be on all the time or only when it is hot enough?

How can I get an actual fault code out of it? And assuming I can get a fault code, where can I look up what it means?

Microsoft Game Console Accessory: I dropped my controller in water

Hello all! I dropped my Xbox One S controller in water, and now I can't get it to sync with my Xbox. I tried to disassemble it to let it dry. It turns on now, but my sync light just flashes without actually connecting when I try. I've waited a couple of days to make sure it was totally dry, too. Is there anything I can do?

Gaems g155: A Bad Day at The Black Watch...nothing but Snow

ok,

so i replaced the screen following this iFixit guide (great guide BTW),

powered on,

but all i get is a bad day at the black watch. nothing but snow.

any ideas, do i need a remote to change the input to hdmi, as i bought it with the cracked screen sans accessories.

or could there be a problem with the control board, all the buttons work, sound from speakers briefly until the mute kicks in. initial startup shows the Gaems 'G' logo on a black background, which hints that the screen is good.

thanks

Xbox One Kinect: How to best re-atach the cable?

I did remove the cable on my Kinect by pulling it out using some force.

Now I want to plug it in again. Has anyone any tips on how to do that properly?

Pictures on the rotation of the cable, the process and a few tricks would be very much apreciated.

I could also use a picture of how the port is supposed to look when it is not damaged to compare it to.

This might be helpful to people in the exact situation as I am- be it because of curiousity or because the cable needs to be swapped out.

Update: Just to clarify: Nothing is definitely broken- just need help figuring out how to plug the cable in again without killing the port.
