Microsoft Game Console Accessory: Xbox 360 HD-DVD player progressivly slows until stopping entirely

Hi,
So I have a used Xbox 360 HD-DVD player that I've been trying to use to watch HD-DVDs on but I've run into an issue where the playback for the movies slows down over time until it stops entirely. I've tested this with multiple HD-DVDs and it occurs with each of them. I've been looking for a teardown video to try and get into the player and do a routine cleaning (I've worked on a few disc drives before) but none of the videos I could find show or explain how to properly open the outer case. It appears to be similar to the original 360 design, but lacks the holes to get at the clips holding the initial piece to remove.

Any help would be appreciated with this and I hope everyone's day is going well.

Rock Band Fender Stratocaster Wired Guitar: Rock band 1 wired guitar will not turn on / connect.

I have a Xbox 360 wired Rockband 1 fender, it’s been 5ish years sense I last used it but I dug it out to play clone hero on, but when I plugged it wasn’t working, the light for the Xbox 360 logo on it would flash for a second and then shut off. I first tried a different break away cable end but I got the same result, I tried the classic wiggle the cable around to see if holding the cable in a specific way would make a better connection but I had no luck with that. I took the guitar apart and looked at the main board and there were these 2 capacitors that’s caps had turned a purplish black, all the other ones still had silver caps so I’m guessing that may be the problem?

Microsoft Kinect: Kinect Sensor doesn't move automatically, looking to repair

Hello! I recently got my hands on a lot of video game peripherals, one of them being a 360 Kinect. It was said to be for parts/repair, so I powered it on with my console to see what works and what doesn't. So far, everything works but the Kinect doesn't move automatically. Checked the gears and motor, both worked fine and cleaned them out, but to no avail. However, the dish holding everything for the base seemed to be misaligned as the sensor would fall either frontwards or backwards time to time. Any tips on fixing it?

Xbox One Kinect: How to best re-atach the cable?

I did remove the cable on my Kinect by pulling it out using some force.

Now I want to plug it in again. Has anyone any tips on how to do that properly?

Pictures on the rotation of the cable, the process and a few tricks would be very much apreciated.

I could also use a picture of how the port is supposed to look when it is not damaged to compare it to.

This might be helpful to people in the exact situation as I am- be it because of curiousity or because the cable needs to be swapped out.

Update: Just to clarify: Nothing is definitely broken- just need help figuring out how to plug the cable in again without killing the port.

Xbox One Wireless Receiver: How do I fix the controller driver?

I am having an issue with my Xbox wireless receiver in Windows 7 x64 (Pro, if it matters). When I connect my controllers in my fleet I still use (Repaired 1708 and new backup 1708) I cannot control my games with either of them. I can confirm this happens on both my 1708 controllers. I tested my mostly neglected Model 1697 controller as well, and it still happens. It's not a 1708 problem; it happens on all of my controllers.

I went into Device Manager and found a Code 54 error for my controller. I uninstalled and removed the driver, but the controllers no longer register. I did not restart my computer when I made this change, since this typically isn't required. I need the control to register to install the drivers from, so I need to at least get the controllers working as unknown devices so I can go into Device Manager and reinstall the driver from scratch. I also tried USB since I don't care about the receiver in this application, but I still didn't get anywhere.

Is there anything I can try to fix this to the point I can get Device Manager to show my controller again so I can reinstall the driver and get it working again? It works on my other computer running Windows 7 x64, so the problem is isolated to one PC.
