I have just taken possession of a new Medion Laptop. when I open it it is in a foreign language and I don't know how to change it to English. Help please.

Hi,

I have a Medion laptop (P6624) which i recently formatted to Windows 7. I have installed both network and wireless drivers from the official site.

Connection through network cable is working fine however the wireless connection remains with a red cross.

Upon troubleshooting it says wireless capability is turned off. I have unchecked the power option for the driver however the problem still persists.

Please help!!!!!

Hey Guys,

my old Akoya is supposed to get at least a temporary life as a gaming pc for my 10 year old. I know - he will soon out run it, ..

Anyways - We got the machine running, and something is not right. Rebooting - cant continue VISTA as usual. Windows recovery not working. Power Recovery (F11 at boot) gets stuck (Letting it hang for hrs to see if any changes). What to do?

Medion Akoya MD 96420: xp detects graphics card fault and defaults to 800*600

My laptop has a problem in that XP detects a graphics card problem after short running time and disables the installed graphics card, can it be repalced or is there another problem. re-instralling driver makes no difference.

graphics card is a nvidia Geforce 8600M GS

Medion Akoya MD 96420: Horizontally Split Display Problem

My wife's Medion MD96420 laptop is displaying a horizontally duplicated screen (split screen appearance). It will only start in safe mode & will not connect to the net. The problem was intemittent and is now persistent. Any ideas welcome.

Turned on laptop. Black screen and NumLK light is on. Can hear fan running and light works on DVD disc.the model is Medion MD 96850. Checked YouTube but all that shows is how to use the numlk key when the laptop works. Can anyone help please.

the thing:

after (regular) automatic updating of windows10 WIFI controller stopped working. The hotkey Fn+F7, that has to enable WIFI connection, doesn’t respond at all, others hotkeys work properly. And internet by wire is also functioning.

attempts to fix:

i thought that the problem might by with drivers; so i got the new driver **Realtek RTL8192DE Wireless LAN 802.11N PCI-E NIC MAC0 ** version: 2019, tried to install it manually in Device Manager - Network adapters - Realtek ….. - Properties - Update Driver - picked a folder with downloaded - then system said my this :” Windows has determined that the best driver for this device is already installed. There may be better drivers on Windows update or on the device manufacturer’s website” end of quote.

Current driver version is 2021.2.327.2013 very doubtful that this is the best.

Installing drivers by specialized programs didn’t help ether ( DriverPack, DriverHub)

What can be a solution (except buying a more modern laptop)?

has been working fine all day I got it back off my daughter this evening wiped it over ( kids= mess) and the screen pinged off the power light is on but I can’t hear any noise coming from inside I tried turning it off with a hard reboot but the light will not go off I shut the lid the light went of tried to open it and turn it on but it’s still doing same thing black screen light on no noise

please please help I will be murdered if this laptop is broken

What can I do to my Medion Akoya p2212t which charges fine, but won't turn on. When power button is pressed, it displays the power light for a maximum of milliseconds more like a blink instead of, for at least 2 seconds.

Medion Akoya MD 96420: What does the video card look like?

I'm told that the video card needs replacing and I want to do it myself. I have taken a panel off the back and have located an easily removable device. It is the size and shape of an old fashioned metal cigarette case. Can someone confirm that this is the video card, please? If not what am I looking for?
