Maytag Refrigerator: My Maytag fridge freezer is cold, but fridge is not.

The refrigerator compartment is warm, but the freezer is cold. The evaporator coil was frosted over. How can I fix it?

Ice maker stopped working. Have had the icemaker, water inlet valve (inside) and the fill valve (on back) replaced. Still no ice. The water in the door comes out fine; when ice dispenser is pressed I can hear the ice auger working. There is no ice build up anywhere and put in a new water filter. Fridge is four years old and the seals are all like new. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have a mss25n4mkz Maytag. I have tested the thermistor on the evap coil and made sure it ohmed out right to temp changes. I have ran the diagnostic on the control board in the fridge side and forced it into defrost mode and the heating element heats up. The fan is running correctly. I have made sure it is actually going into defrost mode on its own. But every month or two the entire evap coil is frosted and I have to manually defrost. I’m at a lost of what else to check. Any ideas? Thank you

Maytag Refrigerator: Occasional Water on floor

I have a Maytag Model MBL2258ex3 and there is ice on the bottom of it and then water seems to be on the floor in front of the Refriegerator. the water is not all the time but at least 1-2 times a month. so we take the ice out from the bottom and then when it ices up again then it has water on the floor.

Maytag Refrigerator: Maytag refrigerator inside water dispenser stopped working

I still can hear a hum when I press the water dispenser button inside the door of our Maytag bottom drawer French door fridge (MF D2561 HEB), but no water is dispensed. Tested for an ice blockage by inserting a plastic tube up dispenser opening about 18 inches and blowing warm water in. No luck. Water still goes to ice maker and water filter is new. Maybe solenoid is shot? Any other tips before I call a technician? Thanks.

Maytag Refrigerator: Main board replacement but no lights on control panel

Could not find a similar question after searching here. Replaced the mainboard on my (double door, with drawer freezer), maytag frig after I started getting flashing 8s and compressor started shutting off and on in short cycles when the 8s would appear. There was also a ticking noise during all of this. After a few of these over a hour period the screen went blank and a complete shutdown of the frig (cooling, lights inside and touch pad dark even when buttons pushed) occurred. Found a youtuber with exact same problem/symptoms and replace the main board with that advise. Now I do not get any cooling or lights inside and the only way I can get the control panel lights is pressing any buttons on the door. Then I only get the number 8s with nothing else. However when I press the lower outside buttons the icemaker door opens and closes. The only other issue before this was ice build up in the freezer with water occasionally leaking onto the floor. This had been ongoing for at least a year with me cleaning out the ice build ups about every 3 or 4 weeks. Suspected a clogged condensation line on that problem that I just never addressed. One other thing is visual inspection of old and new boards do not show any obvious defects which was also the case for the front control panel button board which I viewed. Anyone out there have any ideas of what I am dealing with here?

Fridge and freezer stoped cooling. You could hear the fridge was clicking. I changed out the capacitor and the compressor start relay. The fridge then could be heard turning on. The coils were cleaned and vacuumed and I also checked the coils and fan inside the freezer. Coils were clear and fan was working. Only thing left is the thermostat.

Is there anything else I should be checking???

Maytag Refrigerator: only works intermittently, lately hardly at all.

I have a Maytag m1txemmww00 that for a while only works intermittently, lately hardly at all. Does not work as is won't freezer freeze and refrigerator cool. The bottom fan is working as normal, and I removed the back panel in the freezer and that fan is spinning just fine. The coils are defrosted and warm to the touch. In the recent past I could get the fridge to function by turning it off and back on, but that does not seem to work any longer.

Could low freon be the problem? The small roundish coolant container found in most modern fridges, as I understand it, has an a copper input and output. One is hot to the touch, the other cold. Both of my copper tubes just feel warm to the touch, not hot or cold, just room temp. Could Freon, lack of or low, be the problem?

Any suggestions on what my next check-step before I spend a fortune on a repairman that may or may not repair the problem. Or should I just buy a second hand for $150 on Craigs List. Many Thanks!

I have a Maytag fridge (French door with freezer on the bottom and water dispenser in the door. Recently the water stopped dispensing so I replaced the filter with one from Maytag. I can hear pressure buildup when I activate the water dispenser and then it blows the filter out. It’s like the pump kicks on but something is preventing the water from coming out of the door. Anyone have any experience with this issue?

Maytag Refrigerator: Water not reaching ice maker

The water in my freezer ice maker is not getting any water to it. I’ve replaced the water inlet valve, checked for clogged lines and pulled the ice maker out.

The ice maker its self is still rotating through the cycles as if it’s making ice.

The fridge doesn’t have a filter.

It doesn’t dispense water, just an ice tray in the freezer.

This starting happening like 6 months ago.

My Maytag ( Mfx2570aem3 )ice maker makes ice but after a batch or two, overfills the cube tray with water, freezing to a block in the bin before morning.

I’ve replace the icemaker and both water inlet valves already thinking it was a “too much water being supplied” problem, but I’m thinking now the ice is not kicking out causing the next measure of water to overflow the “already-filled-with-ice” tray.

What would cause that in the new icemaker? Not a worn tray. The heating element not kicking on to release the cubes? Would that be a wiring harness issue? Some other part I’m not aware of?
