Maytag Dishwasher: Does NOT wash, water goes in, and will drain.

Noticed first that the detergent either simply puffed up or fell into the cutlery tray, but did not dissolve.

Tried GEL next, and all it did was run down the wall on the inside, all after running a complete cycle.

So it appears no water is being sent through the 3 wash arms (that spin)

Water drains out fine.

This is a Maytag Dishwasher Model MDB-3

(MDB-7600AWB)

Maytag Dishwasher: "Auto Wash" selected regardless of cycle pressed

I have a maytag dishwasher with the buttons on the front. We usually run normal wash, heated dry off due to the number of plastic/kids dishes we have. Now every time I try to start the dishwasher by pushing "Normal" it turns on "auto Clean" with "Rinse only" and "steam/sanitize" selected. I can't get it to select "normal." I have power cycled the dishwasher multiple times. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Maytag Dishwasher: Not draining at the end of of the cycle

Dishwasher that is less than two years old does not drain at the end of the cycle. You can press the drain/cancel button and it will drain 50% of the time. I can hear the motor or pump running. We already replaced the control board, that was not the solution. No lines were clogged and the dishwasher does not run through the garbage disposal.

Maytag Dishwasher: Why is my water only getting to 102 degrees F

Recently replaced the clearly bad heating element in the dishwasher (had a callous looking thing on it and broke right in half when we pulled it out), and then ran a multimeter on the new one (got good continuity) and put the new one in. Still coldish water (do NOT heat up my water in the sink first). Still cool water in the tub. Checked the high limit thermostat and it too seemed to work fine (at least had continuity). But the water goes in at 80 degrees and heats to 102 (I'm pretty sure that's the faucet doing that), but never above that. Have stuck my thermometer in the water in the bottom of the tub to ensure that its mostly covered with water all the time.

Should I check the actual readings from these 2 things??? if so, what should they be.

Update (09/17/2017)

what is this thing circled in Red in this picture? I'm thinking both of the parts I've mentioned are ok, but there is something else that tells the dishwasher what temp the water is, that isn't properly sending a signal?

Maytag Dishwasher: Maytag MDB8859AWB2 Unit stopped and no power present (keypad, etc.)

Hello, was unsure to begin a new discussion or ask question here. Issue is with Maytag MDB8859AWB2 dishwasher. Has always worked without issue until recently. Unit stopped and no power present (keypad, etc.). Noticed water at bottom of tub as if cycle was interrupted, Checked circuit breaker and wasn't tripped. After further research, believed issue to be BiMetal Thermal Cutoff Fuse part W10258275. Videos shown here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eyeojisn...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0u930Nq...

Turned off power / breaker to the dishwasher and replaced the thermal fuse. Unit again worked! Approximately two week later, dishwasher again stopped working / no power and water at bottom of tub. Breaker was not tripped. Again replaced the BiMetal Thermal Fuse, and dishwasher once again began working. After about another two weeks of operating without issue, it again stopped. My question is this, what would cause unit to lose power and cause thermal fuse to again become defective?

Would the following cause the dishwasher to lose power / damage the thermal fuse (did not test fuse with multimeter etc. after replacing); Heating Element failing, defective High Limit Thermostat, defective Control Board, defective Control Panel, issue with Water Valve, Drain Pump, Circulation Pump shorting, clogged drain hose etc.?

Maytag Dishwasher: Dishwasher not cleaning top rack. Possibly keeps draining, not filling

Hi. I have a Maytag dishwasher, Model# MDB4949SDM3. The top rack isn't getting clean nor is it getting water up there. I think it keeps draining as I'll open mid-cycle and think the bottom should have filled up after about 30 mins and no water is on the bottom. The detergent capsule is down at the bottom though. I've taken it apart and cleaned it out. But still not clean on top. Any thoughts as to what's happening?

Maytag Dishwasher: Not draining at the end of of the cycle

I have a similar problem with my Maytag… where it won’t drain at the end of the cycle and when I press the cancel button to drain it, I hear a clicking sound inside where the control board is, and nothing happens. However, if I let the dishwasher cool for five or six hours, then I can press the cancel button and it will then thoroughly drain. I suspect there is a switch (something electrical) getting too hot and it won’t work until it cools… then it works… Any suggestions or comments?
