Marshall Kilburn: Fuse blows immediately but the speaker works from battery

Hello! I have a problem similar to a couple of other topics where fuse blows immediately. However, my speaker works fine from battery if it's recharged externally. Also, there is nothing is obviously burned or damaged on the board. Any suggestions how to diagnose the problem? Thank you!

would you be able to suggest which element of the scheme may cause short cicuit please? I’m no expert in electronics but would assume that if something is burned/broken it should stop the flow of electric current rather than accelerate it?

Marshall Kilburn: Volume is too Low - Used to be much better

I own a Marshall Kilburn unit and I used to love it. Well, unfortunately the volume output for the unit is too low now. I have no idea what happened, it does not matter if I use it with bluetooth or line in, it is all low. I also tried with and without the battery, same thing. Well, I hope I can get it to work somehow. Any ideas?

Marshall Kilburn speaker volume is low, and the volume control knob does not change the volume in any way. Bluetooth and line in is all the same. I have tried this on three different devices and they are all the same.

The bluetooth is not working but the aux cable is and also the options button through which we change the Bluetooth and aux cable option is not working

I have a Marshall Kilburn I amp that stopped charging the battery. Once it was completely discharged, it stopped working at all. I decided to take a look on the PCB.

The fuse on the main power supply unit was broken, once replaced, it blew up again.

On the backside of the pcb I found a second blown up part, that was named LL10 (see picture). The rest of the pcb looks fine, also the capacitors and the surge arrester

look like they are in a good condition. I measured them all and found no serious deviations.

Updated: front side

Updated: faulty MOSFET K10A60D or C124

Does anyone know what this part was to replace it or suffered the same problem and could help repairing it?

Hi i have a Kilburn speaker purchased about a year ago and it stopped working there is no sound coming out it powers up connects to bluetooth everything i tried with the 3.5 mm cable and is the same no sound at all. When i switch the input sources from bluetooth to 3.5 mm it make a noise

. I took it apart an everything looks good nothin burned etc I’m not sure where is the ic I’m guessing is in the top right cornem with heatsink on it

I replaced this and nothing changed I attached a picture

Hey, I have a Marshall Kilburn from 2018 ish that started to emit this horrible hissing noise a few days ago. Everything works as it should (Treble, bass adjust, volume, aux and bt input…) except for this noise that appeared. I've tried the speakers themselves with another amp and they work just fine. Also, when I'm playing music through bluetooth and the speakers disconnected it sounds like music's coming out of the bluetooth module? I'll add an attachment. I'm wondering if i can find some help with this on the forum? What is the hissing noise?

Yes I'm aware there are inherentl risks concerning quality with transactions like this. I'm also assuming the speaker's outside of any warranty period but that's moot considering I didn't buy it from Marshall or an authorized retailer.

So the problem is The audio quality. The audio is muddy. It's muffled. I've done everything suggested in the manual and online including updating firmware and adjusting various source/equalizer and audio levels.

Because there s some light cosmetic damage (scratches) on the front of the speaker, I'm assuming it was dropped or damaged right on the cone of the woofer. My question - if my assumption is correct should I open the speaker up and visually inspect it for obvious signs of damage? Could dust or water have caused this and would that also be obvious?

The indicator lights illuminate when the power switch is turned on, but soon fades to off.

Edit:

I disconnected the cable going to the auxiliary in port. The speaker now powers on and plays media via Bluetooth.

It worked for 20 minutes, but now has no response when turned on.
