Marco UP Series Electric Pump: Can these pumps be PWM controlled to vary output flow?

My question is specific to the UP3 series pumps and whether or not they can be PWM output controlled to vary output flow. The pressure is low (less than 15psi). Is there a recommend maximum PWM frequency? I was thinking 30Hz or less for this type of device. Also, I noticed on the 12VDC tag it says EMI filter inside..do not use with PWM, but the 24VDC version does not have this same warning. Can you please clarify?

Marco UP Series Electric Pump: Can UP3/E function on slow speed with SCS?

I have installed a Speed Control System together with my UP3/E pump. Normal speed, pump is working perfect. When I select slow speed, the pump is pumping slowly for a while until it stops completely and it will not pump again until I press reset button. LED is steady red as from the moment I select low speed. When pumping the red and blue led blinks alternatively. When I select the high speed again, the pump is working perfect again. My question: Does someone recognize what I wrote down? Is the SCS compatible with the UP3/E or is it maybe not?

Marco UP Series Electric Pump: Pump gears are not turning.

We’ve installed the pump one year ago on our boat. We left the boat for six months and when coming back today, the pump was not working anymore. It blinks 24 (or 25?) times red and the an orange light. It repeats this for three cycles and then the red led signals overcharge. I guess the gears are not turning. I’ve added water to the chamber, but still the same. Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Marco UP Series Electric Pump: Any special measures required to start a brand new pu ichmp?

I just installed a brand new UP3/E. When I switch on power, nothing happens at all. No LED shows any light, no sound from the pump. It is definetely filled with water, except the upper half of the inlet filter. When I loose the front plate, water pours out. Same with the bleed screw. The cabling is correct, as my old pump ist working fine on the very same connections. Is it dead on arrival, or what may I need to do to start the pump for the first time?

BTW, the manual mentions situations where a reset may be required, but seems not to explain how to perfom one. So how does it work?

Marco UP Series Electric Pump: Automatic air drain on air vent

My pump is installed on a sailboat for fresh water. Fresh water tanks are flexible and there is often air passing into water hose. I must unscrew the air vent cap to remove air and prime the pump. I wonder if I can install an automatic air drain, like on radiators at home. I don’t find the characteristics of the air vent cap screw. Could you help me fixing this? I assume many people have this problem with flexible tanks. Thank you
