When I switch to AM there is total silence, not even static. No reception on AM. Absolute silence. The problem is probably in the tuner board, but I don't know where to start trouble shooting.

Marantz Receiver: Audio knob causes audio loss

I have been hammering away at this Marantz receiver over the past couple of days. I had it working flawlessly. Then I turned it off and back on. Now a problem has arisen. If I turn it all the way up and turn it on, the audio is extremely quiet and if I turn the volume knob, the audio just dies completely. Any suggestions?

Marantz Receiver: Marantz SR6013 Amplifier Circuit Failed

I’ve removed all connections, plugged into a different outlet, reset to factory defaults, re-initialized it, and I’m still going directly into the power indicator flashes red every 0.5 seconds. So I’m pretty sure it’s the Amp Circuit in some way…

It’s out of warranty (90 day refurbished warranty was up in June 2019)

Hoping to fix it myself as I paid $2k for this thing and I’m really !#^&@@ off right now that this has happened.

Does anyone have any advice on what to look for inside the receiver? I’m hoping it’s just a blown capacitor I can replace but I’m not sure where to look first and what to see if there is something noticable.

Thank you for any help or advice,

Marantz Receiver: Marantz SR4300 - No Display/Front Panel Dead

Hi guys!

Let me start off by mentioning that this a new hobby, and I'm still learning! I have successfully repaired more simple stereo amplifiers, and this is my first attempt at an AVR receiver. I picked this Marantz up at a junk shop for next to nothing, and thought I'd give it a go!

At first the unit would not power up at all. A few repaired dry joints later, and the amp now clicks into life, and all voltages, 15v, -15, 5v, 3,3v etc are present. I have also cleaned all ribbon cables and connectors.

What I can't seem to figure out: The front panel display is completely dead. I have checked the AC voltage at the connector and there is indeed ~4,5v there, as well as 3,3v and 5v.

Any insights would be much appreciated!

Thank you.

Marantz Receiver: Why does my Marantz nr1403 overheat after some minutes of volume raise

I have a Marantz NR1403 AVR system, my problem is that it overheats and turns off showing red blinking light in front of it when the volume is turned up a bit high within few minutes. I began to notice this soon after I changed the blown power ic which had 66 KHz switching frequency with similar power ic with 132 Khz switching frequency. Please, what is responsible? I also noticed that one channel of the 5 channels does not sound. I’m confused, can someone help solve this problem? I love this Marantz.

Marantz Receiver: Display not lighting up.

Hi

I have a Marantz 1988 stereo system (TA110/150) the amp receiver is ST110. All the little red lights above buttons and on integrated equalizer work as well as everything else on the amp except what I suppose is a the display backlight where the channel numbers appear in blue against a black background.

I'm looking on info regarding the display. Probably LCD positive lighting but don't know what type of backlight would be required and would this be just a plug or does it involve soldering. From what I can see it would involve a lot of disassembly to get to it. Could it be the microprocessor or most likely the backlight.

Thanks
