I have recently found my old Magic Trackpad 2 and upon plugging it in to charge, nothing happened, I assumed the battery just needed time to charge but to my disappointment leaving it to charge while at work wasn't sufficient to get any sort of life from it.

I assume the battery is dead and the charging circuit doesn't want to charge it due to it being critically low but im looking for alternative answers instead of opening it up for now

My Magic Trackpad 2 recently stopped “clicking.” It still tracks and recognises clicks/taps, but the entire haptic feedback is gone. I’ve tried various software remedies that I found online (deleting plists, resetting PRAM, etc.) but no luck, even on another device. Seems to be a hardware problem, presumably inside the Taptic Engine.

I see it is not impossible to open up the Magic Trackpad 2 and to get at the Taptic Engine. Does anybody know if I can get a replacement part for it anywhere?
