Magic Mouse: Why is right click not working (on both Windows and macOS)

I recently got a used Magic Mouse 1 for $3 and It seems like the right click function is not really working (it sometimes works) and when right click didn't work, double tap to zoom also didn't work. Is the two black stickers on the capacitive responsible for this ?

Magic Mouse: Magic Mouse not clicking

I’ve had the Mouse since 2014, and only noticed a problem with it last year. I can move the mouse and the cursor follows, I can scroll too. The problem is when clicking or selecting stuff (e.g. searching for something on Google and then selecting the website I want to visit). How can I fix it? I’ve checked the settings of the Mouse, but it all seems fine, and I’ve tried playing around with it, but there has been no difference.

Magic Mouse: Gestures and Scrolling Not Functioning

I have the same problem as this person: How can I fix my magic mouse?

BUT after taking my own apart — I am fairly certain it has to do with the “capacitive touch sensors” mentioned in the tear down — is there a way to know what part is damaged just out of curiosity or is it something you would like, need a microscope to see? I removed the damaged black bubble part towards the top of the mouse as the seal was broken - and that stopped some ghost scrolling that was happening. But yeah it is just point and click for me at this point…

Magic Mouse: Mouse is not Tracking anymore

The problem:

All of a sudden my Magic Mouse stopped tracking my movements (cursor). So here is what I have tried:

1. New batteries, twice

2. Remove mouse from the bluetooth, and readded it

3. Clean the lens... which worked for 2 minutes

4. Clean the lens... again worked for 2 minutes

5. Tried it on other devices, at other places but tracking wasn't doing anything

What it is doing:

1. Left-click

2. Right-click

3. Scrolling

4. Gestures

5. Swipe etc

So here I am, tearing down the Magic Mouse on a Friday night.

What my best guess is that my optical 'sensor' is broken or at least not getting all the contact it should get.

Does anybody have a keen eye, and could tell me what is wrong with it?

Thanks for taking a minute, hopefully anyone is able to help me out.

ps. I get the fact that my ribbon is a bit loosy, due to the fact that it took it apart.

Kind regards,

Jurriaan

Magic Mouse: Magic Mouse scroll not responsive

Mouse works fine but for the scroll. It won't scroll horizontally or vertically. Sometimes I get a very slight vertical movement, but that's it. Right click is also temperamental. It appears to be trying to scroll the screen when not in use but moves only very slightly.

All the accessibility and mouse settings are set to scroll.

Still fails when connected to another mac that has a working magic mouse.

Tried loads of different batteries.

Battery terminals clean.

Tried off and on, pairing and removing.

Tried with single and multiple fingers.

Seems to be a hardware problem, but I don't know which part is failing to fix or replace it.

Magic Mouse: Can´t use the device, 1/5 times fail to sync, batteries at 100%

Hi people, i´m a regular user of my MBP15" since three years, i bought almost at the same time my magic mouse, now after upgrade to el capitan 3 or 4 months ago my mouse frequently fails to sync, is a real pain, i do the same routine everyday: on/off the device, remove & insert the batteries, even delete com.apple.bluetooth.plist, i´ve read a lot of tutorials, but the problem is so persistent, when it finally sync works like a charm, but the problem is the take off procedure, i´m not sure if it´s a OS issue, but definitively doesn´t want to open it, because sometimes it works, so i think is´t broken.

Does anyone have the same issue, i´ll appreciate some advice.

Thanks
