Macintosh se 30: My mac whistles and does not boot.

Hi, I'm new here. I have an old Macintosh SE/30. I bought it second hand in 1995. Just recently, I brought out of storage and powered it on for the first time in 10 years. It worked perfectly. One day, I powered it on to try to remove some old files. I forgot to turn it off, and it was on for about 1 1/2 hours. I turned it off, and later that day, turned it back on. Instead of bonging and booting, the screen remained dark, and it made a pulsating whistle sound. I opened the mac up, and checked all of the capacitors, and, surprisingly enough, none of them had burst. I also restated the ram and rom, checked all the connections, and cleaned the analog and logic boards. There are no burnt/broken parts on either of the boards, or on the CRT, atleast, that are visible. The inside and outside are in perfect visual condition, and look as they shoud. The sound appears to be coming from the analog board, near the fan/flyback transformer. Unfortunately, I was not able to get a recording because it was to high for any of my cameras to capture it. It's a high, loud, whistling sound, and occasionally the fan would come on as well.

Macintosh se 30: Macintosh SE hisses/whistles when turned on. No video

Hi, All.

I ordered a Macintosh SE from eBay the other day in working condition. As I'm sure you've all experienced before, USPS really doesn't care about your packages, so when I saw the USPS guy throw it off the truck I had a feeling it wasn't going to work... and I was right.

When I connect power and flip the switch, the computer makes a fairly loud hissing/whistling sound. I'm not entirely sure what's causing it. Here's the sound: Video 1

The screen doesn't display anything, it doesn't even seem to be turning on (I haven't felt any static on it afterwards). The first time I turned it on it made a bunch of clicking sounds as well. After trying a few more times, it doesn't make the clicking sounds anymore and it does successfully play the boot chime, although without a screen I'm not sure whether it's actually booting or not. I'm hoping the hard drive still works, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

I took the case off, and I don't see anything that looks specifically broken. There don't appear to be any burst caps, although I wasn't able to remove the logic board, so I couldn't really check that.

Here's some pictures I took with the case off:

Image 3

Image 4

And here's some fly-by videos I took of the case, one is with an extra light, one is without:

Video 1

Video 2

And lastly, I recorded a video with the case off while turning it on. I couldn't figure out where the sound was coming from, but when I turned off all of the lights I noticed that the very tip of the picture tube seems to be flickering (only barely visible at the very end).

Power Up Without Case

I'm really hoping I'm able to fix this because I've wanted an SE since I was quite young.

Macintosh se 30: SE FDHD Logic board blank screen

I got a SE FDHD (I know, not a SE/30, but quite similar. that was basically like a puzzle. It was fully disassembled, I put it together and when I plugged it in and flicked the switch… nothing. So, I decided to put it away somewhere for a while then one day, I decided to take it out again and try it with one of my known good SE/30 boards (because all SE logic boards work with each other) and it actually worked. So, it’s pretty obvious that the logic board is broken, but I don’t know what’s wrong with it. The battery seems to be fine, not to much leakage that I can tell, but I haven’t tried booting it without the battery (don’t know if that would work). Can anyone help me please?
