Macbook Pro 16" 2023: Losing WiFi signal when in clamshell mode

I recently bought an M2 Pro 16" MacBook Pro. My router supports WiFi 6 so I'm in a WiFi 6 network. I use my Mac in Clamshell mode most of the time connected to two external monitors. Since yesterday my WiFi signal becomes unusable while the Mac is in clamshell mode, opening the lid instantly fixes the issue. Is this something common or expected? I'm still able to return the unit and get a new one but before doing that I want to make sure that there is indeed something wrong with this particular Mac.

Macbook Pro 16" 2023: MacBook M2 keyboard remplacement

Hello, I need to change a few keys on a MacBook Pro M2 model 2780 keyboard. I found replacement keys from sellers, supposedly compatible with the M1 2485 & M2 2780, could you confirm to me that the keys of the 2485 are indeed the same as those of the 2780?

Do the keyboard keys on the M2 2780 unclip as easily as on the M1 Macbook Pros?

Do both keyboards use the same clipping system?

--------------------------------------------------

Bonjour,

When replacing the screen on an M2 MacBook, do you also need to replace the Lid Angle Sensor, or is there a way to calibrate it instead?

Macbook Pro 16" 2023: Liquid got on the Motherboard of MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2023)

Liquid got on the Motherboard of MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2023)

The computer worked for one day and stopped turning on.

The charge indicator does not light up when the charging cable is connected.

What if it is possible to revive him after this?

There was some liquid and traces of electrolysis on the motherboard:

Everything was dry under the lid and on the back side:

After cleaning:

Please tell me what can be done with this motherboard to revive the computer, if at all there is a chance?

------------------------------------

I checked the battery today and it is completely discharged. And when connected it does not charge. It turns out that the computer turned off when the battery ran out.

There is 0 volt on these contacts (MagSafe). Shouldn't it be 3v by default and 16,5 under load?

The charging unit is working, I tested it on an old MacBook Pro 2019.

Need I try to buy a new charging cable?

Or try to charge the battery directly from the charging unit and check the functionality of the board on a charged battery?

I wanted to ask maybe you guys have an idea of what's going on.

I accidentally spilled less than a cups worth of sparkling water onto my computer, immediately turned it off, put it upside down and dryed it. For a bit less than an hour, I pointed a heater towards the keyboard, I put the temperature to more or less imitate the chassis getting hot under a huge load, or working outside in a hot environment.

The laptop still works fine, diag showed no errors, hopefully no corrosion, but after this, the sound appeared when pressing the left side bottom. I looked at the teardowns, and there doesn't seem to be anything that might be impacted.

Macbook Pro 16" 2023: Can I replace the keyboard on my 2023 16" MacBook Pro?

Hi Folks -

I spilled soda on my MacBook keyboard several months ago and the keys are still sticky. They get worse when I run high compute functions such as rendering or Final Cut Pro, probably due to heat. Apple wants $1,500 to fix it because they require a full liquid-damage assessment to ensure it didn't damage other internal components. I'm willing to pay but not that much.

I'm not seeing a keyboard for this model on iFixit, anybody know if the keyboard in this model can be replaced or where I can find the parts?

Macbook Pro 16" 2023: Do Apple screen display panels have a serial number?

I sold an Apple LCD panel from a 16-inch MacBook Pro on eBay and now the guy's sending me pictures claiming that it has "burn marks"

As will all items over $500, I marked it near the cables and filmed the entire procedure from removing the screen, testing it, then packaging it.

THERE'S NO WAY I sent him a screen with burn marks... He either &&^&@@ it up (in which I can do nothing about) or he's trying to pull a fast one on me.

I need to make sure that he returns MY PRODUCT and not his own old broken screen, so I'm wondering if the screens are serialized and how to get the number off of it.

About 10 years ago..., I swapped a genuine Apple screen for another on a 2011 15" MacBook and when the logic board crashed, I took it to get replaced under the "Extended Warranty Program" only to be DENIED by the genius. What was his justification? He claimed that someone's installed an "aftermarket screen". Now, this was a genuine screen, but that's besides the point. He KNEW it wasn't the original screen, and had been replaced. MY QUESTION IS: If I reinstall this panel back into the computer, how can I tell if it's the original screen?
