MVWC465HW3: Washer stopped mid wash and won't turn back on.

My Maytag washer stopped during a load before it was supposed to drain and finish. Now when I try to run it, it will fill for a second or two, stop, and the sensing fill light will flash. My washer will not enter diagnostic mode, so I took some of it apart to troubleshoot before replacing parts. I checked inlet valves (not clogged), drain valve (as soon as it was disconnected, water flowed out, so not clogged), all parts in the control panel were clean and connected properly. I did research and replaced the part W10285511 for the water sensor, thinking that was the problem. Nope. I did more research and chose to order a new lid lock component. It's almost here and I will replace it then. If that doesn't work, I'm not sure the next steps. I really dont want to call out a tech. Any advice?
