Logitech Webcam C920e: does anyone have the firmware?

Hi,

I have this camera and it stopped working. now it doesn't show up as a camera, but as a mass storage device with 0 space.

usb 3-6.1.2: new high-speed USB device number 16 using xhci_hcd
[522886.157556] usb 3-6.1.2: New USB device found, idVendor=046d, idProduct=083f, bcdDevice= 1.00
[522886.157561] usb 3-6.1.2: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3
[522886.157563] usb 3-6.1.2: Product: USB VSNx
[522886.157565] usb 3-6.1.2: Manufacturer: USB VSN BOOT
[522886.157567] usb 3-6.1.2: SerialNumber: 123456789000

I assume it lost it's "boot-drive" contents / firmware? maybe bit rot in flash memory?

anyway, does anyone have any ideas what, if anything, could be done?
I'm willing and able to use an external programmer if i can identify the flash chip, but getting the correct contents seems like a long shot.
