Logitech Surround Sound Speakers Z906: Logitech Z906 will not turn on?

I have 2 Logitech Z906 systems that have been working properly. One now will not turn on, no lights, nothing.

I have checked the fuse and power to the end of the input plug, All seems fine. I did see somewhere about holding the power button on the remote for 8+ seconds to reset but this didn’t do anything either.

Anyone help please, I’m perfectly competant to pull it apart; although not an electrician I am an engineer and could probably/possibly fix it with guidance.

Hi, my z906 was playing at low stable volume today and it just randomly cut out power and isn't powering on, there wasn't any smell whatsoever
I'm no expert in repair but feel pretty handy so want to try if i can repair my trusty Logitech Z906 here first before doing anything.
I cracked it open and tried to look for any marks of something blowing and found the following (see pictures)

Translation Hungarian - English

Why does it turn off for a few seconds and then turn back on?

Hi

Why is it that all the speakers are working fine, and then suddenly there's a crackling sound and it seems to "freeze"? Sometimes it resets itself and continues to work, but sometimes you have to turn it off and on again. When it started doing this, it happened every few days or every week, but now it doesn't work properly for more than 5 minutes.

Logitech Z623 Speaker System: Volume knob causes right speaker to drop out

I suspect this is a general issue that could happen to any device with an analogue volume knob, because I feel like I've experienced this issue more than a few times in my life. But I created a device page for this anyway.

The right speaker cuts out entirely, but if I tap the volume knob, the sound comes back. The left speaker doesn't have an issue.

FWIW, the right speaker houses all the controls for the system, the power button, volume, and bass control, you may be able to tell from the image. The right speaker connects down to the bass speaker with some kind of data cable , and the bass speaker connects to power, and also the audio input.

I've read many pages on cleaning out volume "potentiometers" to clear up crackling, and while I do hear crackling when I rotate the knob, I was unable to clear up the crackling by repeatedly turning the knob back and forth, maybe more in depth cleaning is necessary.

I've actually got some contact cleaner, but haven't opened up the speaker to try and clean out the volume knob yet, I thought I'd ask first.

Mainly; I'm curious if a dirty potentiometer is known to cause just one speaker channel to drop out completely, or could this be another problem?

Logitech Speaker: Replace USB cable on Logitech Speaker Lapdesk N-700?

An idiot child (some of us have them) picked up my old Macbook Pro from its lap desk and forgot the laptop must be with the lap desk.

The USB cable that connects the two devices is now at a 90° angel from where it should be. It is not repairable.

I need to get the parts to build a new one since Logitech no longer sells these nor keeps parts for them.

The cable is 35 1/2 " from the USB to the internal clip. There is a small round white "drum" in the cable 3 1/2+ from the internal clip end. I have no idea what this is for?

The internal connector clip end shows R, W, G, B, B wires attached.

I have a pretty clear picture of the whole piece but am not sure how to put that here right now.

BTW: I have no formal computer training. Everything I do comes from what I've learned since my first Apple 2C,

Thank You for any help.

Logitech Speaker: One speaker is very low

Hi,

I've had these Logitech X-230 speakers for a long time now, but I recently got a new kitten that made them fall from my desk a couple of times.

Now when I try to use them the right speaker is very low, barely audible, I have to stick my ear to the speaker to hear something when the left one is pretty loud already

I removed the cover and checked the wires, welds and the capacitor, everything looks fine to me.

I also tried to use them on my phone the result is the same.

I guess it could come from the amp in the sub, but it never fell (only the speaker) so my best guess is that the speaker itself went faulty, any tips on how to repair that ?

Thanks !

Logitech Surround Sound Speakers Z906: Rear channels and sub/center dead after power cut.

My utility company cut power for about 20 minutes today while I was at work to do repairs and when I came home I found my Z906 speakers turned off, naturally.

When I turned them back on only the front channels will play audio.

The headphone bypass in the control module works just fine.

The white noise self-test works on all speakers individually.

I can hear audio from all ports on my PC using headphones.

I've performed the factory reset using the Input button a number of times without effect.

And Logitech has informed me I'm out of warranty by 10 months, but said they've partnered with iFixit to provide parts and repair support. Though I'm not sure how to inquire after that other than posting here.

I have basic soldering skills and a multimeter, so if anyone knows this model well enough to guide me, I'll do what I can to probe the board looking for faults.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Logitech Z130 Full Stereo Sound: Only one speaker works

I have two sets of Logitech speakers - Z130 and Z200. The Z130 worked for a short time, then only one speaker and then neither. So I bought the Z200 and the same thing has happened. Now only one speaker is projecting sound from my presentations. I am loathe to buy a third set, but having difficult finding someone to repair them. I can’t do it myself so no good recommending YouTube repair instructions. Thanks for any help.
