Logitech Z623 Speaker System: How do I fix a subwoofer that has no sound?

The left/right speakers work, so it has power and is connected properly; no sound (not even a buzz) from the subwoofer. Not sure if it is a macOS configuration issue, or if I need to get in and see what's what. Any assistance you can provide would be appreciated.

Logitech Surround Sound Speakers Z906: Logitech Z906 will not turn on?

I have 2 Logitech Z906 systems that have been working properly. One now will not turn on, no lights, nothing.

I have checked the fuse and power to the end of the input plug, All seems fine. I did see somewhere about holding the power button on the remote for 8+ seconds to reset but this didn’t do anything either.

Anyone help please, I’m perfectly competant to pull it apart; although not an electrician I am an engineer and could probably/possibly fix it with guidance.

Translation Hungarian - English

Why does it turn off for a few seconds and then turn back on?

Hi

Why is it that all the speakers are working fine, and then suddenly there's a crackling sound and it seems to "freeze"? Sometimes it resets itself and continues to work, but sometimes you have to turn it off and on again. When it started doing this, it happened every few days or every week, but now it doesn't work properly for more than 5 minutes.

Logitech Surround Sound Speakers Z906: Rear channels and sub/center dead after power cut.

My utility company cut power for about 20 minutes today while I was at work to do repairs and when I came home I found my Z906 speakers turned off, naturally.

When I turned them back on only the front channels will play audio.

The headphone bypass in the control module works just fine.

The white noise self-test works on all speakers individually.

I can hear audio from all ports on my PC using headphones.

I've performed the factory reset using the Input button a number of times without effect.

And Logitech has informed me I'm out of warranty by 10 months, but said they've partnered with iFixit to provide parts and repair support. Though I'm not sure how to inquire after that other than posting here.

I have basic soldering skills and a multimeter, so if anyone knows this model well enough to guide me, I'll do what I can to probe the board looking for faults.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Logitech Z506: Danger of replacing subwoofer power supply?

Hello,

So I have the Logitech Z506 Speaker System, and for whatever reason the sub emits a constant popping noise to any connected speaker when power is introduced regardless of input. I assume this is an issue in the power supply.

How dangerous would this be to replace and what could I do and or use (maybe rubber gloves?) to lessen my chance of being shocked to death?

The unit is rated 120V-240V 50/60Hz 800mA

Thanks

Logitech Z623 Speaker System: Volume knob causes right speaker to drop out

I suspect this is a general issue that could happen to any device with an analogue volume knob, because I feel like I've experienced this issue more than a few times in my life. But I created a device page for this anyway.

The right speaker cuts out entirely, but if I tap the volume knob, the sound comes back. The left speaker doesn't have an issue.

FWIW, the right speaker houses all the controls for the system, the power button, volume, and bass control, you may be able to tell from the image. The right speaker connects down to the bass speaker with some kind of data cable , and the bass speaker connects to power, and also the audio input.

I've read many pages on cleaning out volume "potentiometers" to clear up crackling, and while I do hear crackling when I rotate the knob, I was unable to clear up the crackling by repeatedly turning the knob back and forth, maybe more in depth cleaning is necessary.

I've actually got some contact cleaner, but haven't opened up the speaker to try and clean out the volume knob yet, I thought I'd ask first.

Mainly; I'm curious if a dirty potentiometer is known to cause just one speaker channel to drop out completely, or could this be another problem?
